thats the thing tho, old neogaf and resetera have a good gaming sub-forum and community sub-forums as well. However, the off-topic and political side is always cancerous.

For the people asking why someone MIGHT read ResetEra, I browse other gaming related websites
so that's how I naturally wound up there. What shocked me though is the iron group the LGBTQ+ group
has on the website.

It's a website that operates under being "progressive" but primarily with an LGBTQ+ slant, so they crowd
out EVERYONE else including typical minorities (Black Americans, Latxn, Asian Americans etc.) The conversation
basically becomes about self styled victims and wannabe minorities who're in actuality white men or women who
benefit from a system of white supremacy.

I browse frankly because I like DF and some industry insiders post there, I generally find myself ignoring the vocal
a$$holes and just try to keep up with gaming news.

I stick with TheColi because I like to think I'm joking around with or talking to other black folk and that makes it
easier to have a dialogue instead of partaking in an echochamber like ResetEra or a haven for Alt. Right clowns like
Neogaf.

Like it or not, all the developer info, leaks, rumors all head that place first so if you’re interesting in gaming news that’s pretty much a required stop as many news outlets get their info from them

what they should have did is properly separate their political opinions separate from gaming news but their mods are the same righteous pieces of shyt that were acting that way on GAF before that place blew up

This is kind of it right here. You need black people on the development teams if you want true representation. A white guy from Arkansas who moved to Santa Monica isn’t gonna be able to properly write a black character no matter how much books, media, or friends they have that are black.

Just wanting black people in games is more damaging than it is anything else if you don’t have someone writing them with nuance. That’s how you get characters like Barret. I loved Barret growing up because i was just thirsty to see black people in an actual rpg game but now after playing the remake i really wish they had a black writer to re-do some of that dialogue because it came off very minstrel and hard to listen to.
