promising to feed every child, doesnt give any incentive to not have children one cant afford...
conditions change. not every poor person with children was poor when they started their families

:wtf:
And what service exactly are these welfare recipients providing that I should be ok with paying for?
Some would argue that Congress hasn't provided much of a service over past couple of years. So according to your logic once they are no longer a member of congress they should stop receiving benefits since they are no longer providing a service.

Not even that, on what level do you even risk children not having what they need due to their parent's behavior.... Especially when this program is less than 1% of our budget. In a city like NYC a large percentage of homeless people have jobs, and sometimes two. There has to be a moral red line of how far you are willing to allow people to fall.

I'd agree too, but their pay isn't set that way, nor is it solely a reward for merit.

I suggest we move away from other peoples paychecks, it promotes the idea that there is a set pie we are all competing from.... which we aren't.

we are not all eating the same pie, but we are all using the same public infrastructure to earn our money. none of it is actually 100% self-made to begin with.

so back to those families that didnt start out poor but ended up poor. they still need to eat...

and that's fine that you feel that way, its when you initiate force against some one else to take from them and give to another that you cross the line. Your doing a wrong to do a right, which robs of you of your moral high ground.

Its crazy how people put up the most fuss about tax dollars going to programs that feed the poor when those programs dont even add up to 5% of the tax budget.

Being poor is already hard as it is and the solution is to make shyt harder and tell people to work harder?

Poor people are already at a disadvantage so decrease their chances further.

Close schools, build prisons, and raise tuition. That how you build an economy.

The amerikkkan way
