Truth is Lavalas has a lot of people in the party who want t o do good for Haiti but Aristide himself was always reckless with his mouth. I agree with some of the things he says but at the same time you cant make enemies with both the elite AND alienate the middle class and expect to survive.

When i say he alienated the middle class i mean he would galvanize the poor and homeless and say things that would inspire them to be aggressive if not violent towards said middle and even working class. That same middle and working class that voted for him too, by the way. So back in 1991 before the first coup you're a working class/middle class family driving a freakin Peugeot to work and taking your kids to school the proletariat would look at you as if you were somehow involved in the corruption that's killing the country and threaten your life over any little incident. Mofos be taking their sweet time crossing the street and you honk at them and you'd end up with a rock in your windshield if not worse. So many in that same middle class that also voted for Titid dindt give a fukk about him when he was overthrown in 1991.
