I can't wait til the cap goes up. They fixed the problem with the midlevel from the last CBA and now there's a whole different problem with players on their 2nd contracts getting max or close to max when their skills don't even warrant that kind of money. The CBA is still broken.

I was reading an article and it said the biggest cliched term this offseason has been "if Gordon Hayward got max money...." How are we letting Parsons and Hayward dictate the market? The contract negotiations should be relative to the team.

That's why I say do away with max contracts. It's crazy that teams would rather overpay 2nd and 3rd tier guys or guys with potential rather than pay the true max guys their actual worth. That's why the CBA will never be fixed though. These lesser guys like getting paid and they outnumber the top guys. Brilliant chess move by the owners.

Alright go on then, throw out some arbitrary number you've pulled out your ass and tell me why its a better reflection of his value than, what other players are available at that position, the needs of the team making the offer, the upside of the player, the amount of competing teams with cap space and the specifics of the contract and negotiation
