I don't know about that breh??? Maybe an occasional tag match or some kind of occasional gimmick..... But I don't remember either one of them defending the title week in and out opponent after opponent...... I do remember a lot of long winded promo's, a lot fukkery, and a lot of attacking folks

Listen, if I'm wrong I'm wrong... but that was my era, and there were title matches WAY more frequently than you see now. Raw was worth watching for more than keep track of plot points... events happened.

I remember 293, which was a special episode like it was yesterday

Yeah title was defended atleast 3 times a month back then. Every match was pretty much a title match. There was always a chance of somebody losing a belt. That was like the key to the first promo of the night... "And tonight Austin you will be defending you title against blah blah blah..." *crowd cheers*

TBH I really cant remember to many shows where it wasn't defended, barring a tag match, or #1 contender match, that led to a title match on the NEXT Raw, but usually last match of the night was almost ALWAYS a title match. shyt we had Hell in a Cell's and Inferno Matches for free back then.

Alot of ya'll young nikkas be fronting like ya'll was bout that Attitude Era life, but ya'll seen it thru youtube and doc's... storys dont be matching up.

Roman is not championship material , he never will be, he is at best Mason Ryan with better looks and charisma . Rock should not sully his legacy by wrestling a bum like this . DB is tailor made for Brock with a storyline written already, the authority sees him win the rumble and don't want a repeat of the yes movement again so they make the match no hold bared and no DQ and if Daniel loses he must retire for good. A match where DB can low blow him , hit him with chairs and do whatever to win is realistic for him to win. Rock should face any of these 3 men, Taker, big Dave in a battle of the stars or HBK. Roman can wrestle Zack or Adam Rose in the pre show .

He's not really that high, should he be in a program with Fandango? Or Ziggler? Or Cesaro? He's just as midcard as them. Just a notch higher, cuz they obviously are high on him and WWE is in desperate need of new faces. Plus Bryan's out... its falling in his lap.

He has a good look and there is an opening for that top spot, so he's getting hotshotted. Should he go in the office and say "Dont push me... im not ready." He IS developing right now, prolly not the typical "IC title" way, but he's developing in front of our eyes. Just give that man time to get comfortable under all them lights/expectations. and no he's not on the same level as ziggler and cesaro, he is clearly positioned above them. not only has he been protected in a way that they never have been but he just competed against one of the E's top guys at summerslam and it was the 2nd highest match on the card right beneath the main event. the month BEFORE that he was IN the main event competing for the title.

You make a good point, that Roman Reigns is not over like that but on the other hand The Rock and Austin are once in a lifetime level guys that just so happened to come through at the same time. Gotta take that into consideration.

Even if Daniel Bryan was on Austin/Rock level, he's just one guy and the way the whole product is being handled is so I can't really agree with dudes wondering why CM Punk or DBry can't do Attitude Era numbers. The product just isn't there, so there's no way for one guy to take it there.

Roman has a ways to go, but exactly as you say now he's "not awful" and I believe he has a good foundation to build on.

Either way, I think Dean Ambrose has more potential from what I've seen so far.
