In that case, they should be poorer for it. More kids===less wealth saved up. Hispanics embraced the trades and owning businesses, while many AAs are allergice to plumbing, electrician work, etc. Blacks used to be majority of construction workers in the south before 1930s.

This is bullshyt to be honest.

Black people are intentionally kept out of skilled trades due to nepotism. It has little to do with AAs not wanting to work those jobs.

Eh.......

Mexicans are hard working........

They also exhibit the same pathologies any other group does when living at or below the poverty line.
Was in South Central last year. The Mexicans just minded their own business, they were still hustling even if poor, rarely saw any living indolent lifestyles or grown ass Mexican men sitting around getting high all day and loitering on street corners

Let's take Houston for example. Predominately Mexican neighborhoods are just as bad if not worse than poor black neighborhoods.

Wheres the nice Mexican hood?
Not familiar with Houston but there are hella predominantly Mexican cities and cities with large Mexican populations in California that are safe

I'm not saying that black people haven't advanced or can't advance, but more so that discrimination never leaves us, no matter how much we make. I know six figure AA professionals and they still make less than their white counter parts, have to put in five times as much effort, get stared at funny riding in their own neighborhoods, etc. Some even live paycheck to paycheck because they are just bad with money, which is a byproduct of forced illiteracy that's gong to take a few generations to correct. I just don't think people understand the magnitude of our experience and it's impact for generations. It's not just something easy to undo.

Again, agree. I'm just saying it's possible, not that it's easy. But the way we approach this has to change. The way we've been doing this so far hasn't gotten us as far as we'd hope it would.

A lot of Hispanics moving to White neighborhoods when they become middle class. For the most part the same thing happens in Florida too. Thus there is rarely a Hispanic middle-class neighborhood. With Miami and La being the exceptions

How is that possible? If you offer service at the right place, you should be able to make scratch. Are unions keeping blacks out?

:russell:Blacks in this country don’t need a college degree or a bunch of phony statistics to validate the value we bring to this nation. We set the cultural standards, and the reason you see shyt hitting the fan right now cause we still getting rich, restoring the feelings with our African brehs, and just had a nikka walk out of the highest position possible like this...
