There is this loft by the river I'm looking at.... I didn't even know the D had places that freakin nice and modern. There is a cute black chick who is at the leasing office too.... My only response to all this is to move in there, and maybe try to smash her.

And that's because this is the best thing I can do at this point.

Those waterfront properties are going to be worth millions in two years. Tens of millions. The amount of work that is going to secure those properties along with Belle Isle has been interesting to watch. Detroit is going to be the international city of America once they finish the new Bridge to Canada (locking out the Ambassador bridge), get rid of all the poor black people (mainly the poor black people because they don't vote and when they do they vote for 100% pure nikkas), and move all that shyt out to Southfield. Detroit is going to look like Las Vegas when it's all over with.

I love going to my families houses on the southeast side and just looking around. It is pretty sad. But also pretty interesting to look at the abandoned buildings and houses.

They better hurry up because the moves are being made and Detroit is going to look like Boston in two years. The plan to get rid of the abandoned buildings is already working...peep certain houses going up in a rash of "arson" events in the coming months. The "arsonist" won't be caught. And then you will have the older black population moving out of Detroit (or to the streets) because of this pension BS. But hey, the only benefit is that these interested powers will be looking for new leadership to step in, young people, the hipsters, they are going to make a new Detroit out of the carcass of the old. Here come the low wage jobs Detroit!

Detroit does a good job of paralleling 'The Crow'.

Its surreal when you look at them. I used to work in Detroit years ago and at lunch I would park at Central Station and just look at that shyt..still standing and looking like a crazy movie set. Complete empty...scary stuff. Used to live at River Town too, I love Detroit, but I know that it won't be the same in five years. Kinda sad but that's the way it is.

Yeah my cousin works at one of the hospitals in Detroit. Couple of my cousins work at one of the casinos and one of my cousins is in med school and UofD. If you're not a complete idiot you can live fine in Detroit.

You really can. That's why I'm not really upset at all the changes that are happening. The place is really nice and has a good vibe. The greedy fukks that are coming into the city saw the beauty and they are going to make it more expensive to live there (because of all the changes they will make) now that's the shyt I don't like. The people who live there now just have to weather the storm because the city is going to change big time now they have their "Write-in" white mayor. lol

I watched New York kill all the homeless people. Now they're killing all the poor people. You're probably not far off.

I didn't say anything because I didn't care for homeless people. Then I didn't say anything in defense of poor people because I'm not particularly fond of them either.

Don't you want to take a leap of faith? Or become an old man, filled with regret, waiting to die alone!

you remind me of someone...a man I met in a half remembered dream.

More than anything, they want to force the negroes out first, devaluate everything and buy it on the ultra cheap and then they will make it boom again.

Detroit is a cesspool of everything that is wrong with black America. I was in Detroit Thanksgiving and there were churches on every street corner. Many of which had abandoned houses within its perimeter. 90% of the businesses are Arab owned. Outside every establishment you'll see at least 2-3 young shiftless nikkas standing outside these foreign owned stores panhandling for change. I actually saw a couple of billboards supporting president Obama. which I found quite ironic considering the conditions of the community.
With a population that is over 80% black, we could have easily made Detroit a mecca for black America. Instead we continually voted for corrupt officials only to vote in a white mayor to "clean" it all up. We allow Arabs to come in set up shop and exploit our communities. We allow pulpit preachers to build extravagant churches within impoverished areas. Detroit is an embarrassment.

WASHINGTON—Following Thursday’s announcement that the city had declared bankruptcy, reports are confirming that Detroit may suddenly descend into a horrifying, depopulated hellscape, one with numerous dilapidated buildings, rampant urban decay, a failing education system, near-constant drug-related homicides, and a downtown area that looks virtually abandoned. “I fear that, very soon, we may be looking at a city that is completely and utterly unrecognizable from its booming heyday of the 1950s,” said the report’s lead author, Professor Robert Fuchs, noting that Detroit may see its population plunge to half its size amidst a mass exodus of desperate and unemployed residents. “Its citizens might as well enjoy the city while they can, because soon enough they’re going to be living in an uninhabitable wasteland where the police take nearly an hour to get to the scene of a crime, the poverty rate is three times that of the national average, and vacant warehouses look like they’ve been attacked by mortar shells.” Fuchs added that even Detroit’s once dominant auto industry could very well be transformed into a depressing, broken-down husk of its former self.

What they really need to do is sell property out to doomsday preppers and amateur filmmakers.

Places like this would be heaven for these kind of hobbyists, and imagine the action scenes that could be filmed here? Funds would go to the city, and tourism would go up so people could see where the scenes would be filmed or some spots where they can prepare for the apocalypse. This can help Detroit's climb out of the red.
