Unpopular opinion but I THINK THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH WHAT THOSE WOMEN DID.

1. Black people need to understand the limits of consumer boycott like these especially in modern times. Just like the NFL boycott of watching they still gonna get there MONEY regardless.
Y'all can't sink a companies ship by no boycott. It hasn't worked in a long time. This ain't the 1960s.

2. Black males have the convenience of getting ALL there hair care needs met with out dealing with Asians.

IF y'all nikkas barbers had repeated incidents of assault on customers in the same way alot of y'all would still be getting your haircut you have to for social and employment reasons.

3.Black men showing up is insufficient. Black men have not been able to compete in any part of black female hair care products industry on a dominant level.
The Asians control manufacturing and distribution, and every pary of the weave products industry and have access to more capital
A race that doesnt control manufacturing will be subordinated to the other race.

Also the gesture of 50% off can help a low income black woman's financial state temporarily, low income black women are in no position to turn down 50 %off on ANYTHING, FOOD, COSMETIC ETC. A little means a lot.

Black men don't have any alternative stores to compete with the Asians so that they can purchase weave.

Also WEAVE IS A NECESSITY. Black women with coarse short hair in the workplace, court room and dating arena are typically at disadvantage. These are the harsh realities.
Also protective styles like weave help black women's hair.

How can the black community control the weave industry from a whole seller/distribution standpoint? That’s the issue. Might be a black middle man here and there but we don’t control the industry. The threat to black barbers will be real when Asians start installing man weave at a fraction of the cost. Especially with how the average haircut has increased.
