Keep playing youngin'. Ol' Reb 'bout to take you out back by the shed and put trade marks around your eyes.
No homo, look at your mans legs? Is this a drawing? How did people work their legs in the olden times? The vascularity :noah:

I voted for Reggie tho. Ray Allen was the better player in most ways but his career has not been better than Reggie Miller's. You can discount Reggie's career as just a handful of highlights...but what has Ray Allen done to match that handful of highlights? Been the 3rd or 4th best player on a contender? Naw...

:stopitslime:You are going to post Ray hitting shots when he was a 3rd option and try to pass it off as proof? Yea Ray may have went off one time or another in the playoffs but he never led his team to anything.

Plus Ray always had a pretty good team with solid players but couldn't do anything

Give me Reggie

1) Just like a selective ass nikka, you gonna single out one link, and completely ignore the other four? :comeon:

2) Reggie went as far as Ray Allen did as the #1 option, game 7 of the ECF Finals

3) The best Pacer teams Reggie was ever on, he wasn't the #1 option, the 2000 squad that went to the Finals had Jalen Rose as the #1 scorer, and the 2004 squad that won 61 games Reggie was the 4th option.

Maybe I'm missing something but I'm not seeing the playoff disparity that others have mentioned. Reggie has a slight edge in ppg and it's either close or Ray has the edge in every other category so what's with the playoff numbers piece? Yeah Reggie had some huge 1st round series but so did T-Mac we gonna put him over all the guys who his playoff scoring average outranks? :usure: That list includes Karl Malone, Kareem, Magic, Duncan, and Wilt BTW. Ray would have better scoring numbers if he hadn't sacrificed to go to Boston and win. Lemme guess he shoulda been the "man" and put up numbers while losing in order to prove he was better than Reggie right? :rudy:

And :laugh:/:ahh: at Reb and Shuttlesworth. shyt takes me back to the dorm room days when sports arguments could always take a turn.

When going head 2 head 25 times

Reggie won more and scored more

Ray only outscored Reggie 7 times :scusthov: and this was when Reggie was a little past his prime

So when comparing 2 shooters, you dismiss their shooting numbers and focus on rebounding to make your case? :ohhh:

 what kind of weak response is this. It's not my fault Ray Allen has him beat in every other category. Reggie was the most one-dimensional "star" in NBA history. I'm sorry if that breaks your heart

With what logic do you surmise Ray hasn't had the better career? :what:

Shooting numbers: Reggie

Legendary moments: Reggie

Success as the #1 option: Reggie

Rebounding: Allen :gladbron:

Therefore Allen >>>>>>>>>>>>>>

:russ:

The shooting numbers are actually pretty close and Ray has the edge from 3 as well as the higher ppg.

Rob Horry has more legendary moments than Ray and most players for that matter so what's that really mean?

What about Ray's game doesnt' translate into Reggie's spot on those 90's Pacers?

Rebouding, ball-handling, passing, defense: Allen

What categories, breh? The ones that don't matter. I don't care about rebounding when I'm comparing 2 shooters. Just like I'm not looking at FT% when comparing Dennis Rodman and Ben Wallace.

Ray Allen was a shooter. Reggie Miller was a better one. :yeshrug:

nikkas is trying to retcon prime Ray Allen into a purely one trick pony to boost their argument.

Sad

Ray Allen at his best was a 20, 5, 5 player. But "all he could do was shoot"

This reasoning would make sense if we were comparing Kyle Korver and Eddie House, but c'mon son, this is rubbish

Well how can yall claim Ray has better defense? I've seen Ray get his ass busted several times but I never seen Reggie get his ass busted. They both played 18 seasons but Reggie has 1505 steals and Ray has 1330 steals:usure:

:rudy:

Ray Allen edges him in 3 pt% 40% to 39.5%. Yes Allen has the slightest of edges in that category but they both shot 40%.

FG%:

Reggie: 47%, 45% playoffs
Ray: 45%, 45% playoffs

TS%:

Reggie: 61%, 60% playoffs
Ray: 58%, 59% playoffs

The TS% is HUGE in this debate because Ray actually shot 0.5% better from downtown and 0.6% better from the line, yet still trails in TS%.

So for all that "Reggie was one dimensional" talk, he was clearly a better scorer inside the arc.

Numbers don't lie. :yeshrug:
