Don't wanna sound disrespectful but indigenous people are possibly the most corrupted, broken, dominated people on the planet. The people of this land have been so fukked up they don't know who, what, or where they truly are at this point. A lot of stuff has been given to and forced upon them for generations to the point that they are likely confused themselves.

Lost of schools(in general) get sponsored by businesses/people in the area as well. I went to a HS in GA that had connections to Missouri University so we were the Tigers, with the same exact logo and black and gold colors. Who's to say that they're not sponsored by Dan's Auto Shop down the street who got good publicity in the town for donating jerseys while simultaneously getting a joke off with his buddies? You think that reservation, who are already disenfranchised and broke as fukk, are gonna turn them down? History shows they'll bend for the sake of survival.

But just like painting BLM on a street ain't doing shyt tangible for our progress, changing a team name isn't gonna fix the atrocities this country continues to perpetuate on indigenous people.
