32 tracks is the best news to me. Enough songs that he does these light joints for "relevance", radio or whatever and there is some hard shyt on the album for us real heads, and we get to ignore the rest
Erick Sermon 1987-2001>>> beyond
His beats lost their flavor. I saw it on that React album from 2002.
Erick better have some stuff from the late 90s in the stash.
It would be nice to see a new Def Squad reunion
Keith Murray needs to go in a rehab center and get cleaned up. Get his ass in a Gym
Erick Sermon needs to lay off the Happy Meals too
He said he's sitting on mad beats from back in the day that he never used.
Red needs to get back to the funk sh*t and stop with this cookout music he's been trying to make lately. Nobody wants to hear that sh*t from dude, lol. Erick said he reaches out to Reggie to work but they don’t always speak. So I don’t know what's going on with that.
Exactly
This new shyt he been putting out sounds like some shyt he’d do for State Farm commercials
I hate to say it, but he's lost his touch.
Erick didn't seem happy about it in his interview with Toure. Basically said Red could've been a Top 5 GOAT if he stayed in the lane that they started in together, when he was working on the albums with him heavily.
He has and I’ve accepted this long ago
Oh yeah? I haven’t watched that interview yet
Once Malpratice rolled around, Red had all but checked out and lost his edge
Then came the the movies and tv shows and the rest as they say is history
Truth.
Once he started doing outside sh*t and the music started becoming too comical and jokey, he was a wrap.
Yeah
And you know what’s ironic, Method got better with the exception of The Prequel
Lyrically, it’s like Method Man just kept stepping up
Tical 2000 was the first time he stepped up lyrically
The Prequel was ass; I remember him saying this was going to be a return to form album and how RZA was going to produced the whole album but ended up only producing the intro. And in retrospect, RZA had already fallen off anyway. Meth would’ve been better off getting
4:21 was a step in the right direction and I remember Meth didn’t even promote that album, it just dropped. But I think that album was therapeutic for Meth and it was like his album to prove to himself and fans that he still had it
He was suppose to dropped Crystal Mef years ago but that never came to be
All that said, Red made his mark 2 decades ago and I’m good with Whut, Dare, Muddy and Doc’s Da Name
That's true!
Method is out here doing features and outrapping the newer MC's. He definitely stepped it up. It would just be nice to see him drop a project that can have some impact. He needs way better production and some direction. If he got that, I think he can do what the other vets are doing right now. Dropping sh*t that gets them back in the conversation.
Hell yeah
facts. i remember years ago when he popped up on that ASAP Trillmatic joint and outrapped every last one of them nikkas lol
yeah, i think so too.
ain't Meth suppose to be dropping a project/album with Havoc on the boards?
i'd like to see what Meth and Muggs could cook up. Muggs hooked GZA up with that Grandmasters album years ago.
If it's good then whatever. He's from an era where a lot of his lyrical peers dropped double albums. He's been away for awhile so if it's dope, then greatThis is good stuff but 1.5 hours is alot
Already liked 6 tracks and I'm not even halfway through.
Reggie in his pocket, beats work
