There’s nothing wrong with Always online if the functionality of the game is based on having an internet connection
Cause the single player mode might still be a connected world. That’s a decision the consumer has to make. Going into a multiplayer game the servers aren’t going to be live forever so if you buy that there will be a shelf life on its playability and that’s known upfront.
If a game is sold as having a single player mode it shouldn’t have the shelf life of a multiplayer only game due to servers.
If a gamer wants to revisit the original title 15-20 years from now why shouldn’t they be able to on a game with a single player mode?
don’t have a problem saying this is wrong and should be changed
I need @Gizmo_Duck or @Fatboi1 to dig up the juelz'ing for the Halo MCC.Naw it’s not me playing semantics.
My thread was made after the game came out and people couldn’t play for 30+ hours and i still said this.
Nothing i’ve said in here contradicts this statement,
We don’t know how Redfall will function. Some “always online” games still have some sort of function of a connection is lost.
If/when this game comes out and has similar issues to GT7 then you goofys can take your victory laps.
as it stands y’all just reaching right now
The game isn’t out yet, There’s no real indication on how it will function right now.You don’t?
Everything is always online now. I have consistently been ok with maintaining an internet connection. If anything y’all only slowed down the inevitable.I need @Gizmo_Duck or @Fatboi1 to dig up the juelz'ing for the Halo MCC.
...and....Your ENTIRE CONSOLE was meant to be "always online" until Sony laughed that idea out of the room. You really should grateful to Sony stans from saving you from the future you are now claiming to be against.
Cause the single player mode might still be a connected world.
You can play Elder Scrolls online as a “single player” but the game still needs an internet connection to be what it is.
Nah don't lump me in with that one.Everything is always online now. I have consistently been ok with maintaining an internet connection. If anything y’all only slowed down the inevitable.
It’s you goofies who have flip flopped. Depending on who needs the connection. Y’all used to care about the nikkas in submarines. Now y’all can’t wait to stan sonys always online GAAS initiative
There’s no indication of how Redfall will function at this point.why would we play Elder scrolls ONLINE offline tho... if that's the case go play skyrim...
your PS5 is always offlinewhy would we play Elder scrolls ONLINE offline tho... if that's the case go play skyrim...

Gamers have been conditioned to accept games as disposable media. You buy it and play it for a year or whatever then abandon it and years later when you want to revisit it there’s a remake to sell you.Cause the single player mode might still be a connected world.

Deep down this isn’t really a single player game. It sounds like minimal mods were made to a multiplayer game so people could play it alone but it’s still a multiplayer game at its heart. That’s not what someone buying a game marketed as having a single player mode wants.
We’ve seen games come out and within a year companies decide servers aren’t worth it shutting them down. Requiring an internet connection isn’t problematic because you need to be online it’s problematic because they need to keep their servers on line or what you purchased is worthless.
