If we being real, there probably wont be a RDR3 anymore. The visionary mastermind braintrust of R* executives that really made this game tick and poured their souls into the unique SP experience have all left the company.:sad:

Take 2 let it be known that it now only prioritizes Online modes from here on out. So expect them to try and milk Red Dead Online for the next 10 years or as long as they possibly can just like how they did with GTA.

The next title will likely be a re-make/remaster of RDR1 which would still be pretty cool atleast:yeshrug:
That would explain why the game completely fell off, because prior to it's release they were adamant that there would be single player stuff added to the game later on. I fully believe that they planned on releasing a director's cut version, but the new people in charge are determined to make RDO a cash cow. The problem is that there are still way more people playing GTAO than RDO.

Director's Mode, multiple SP dlc packages, Undead Nightmare 2, etc. it was all planned out. Benzies and them even had intellectual property copyrights on all that shyt.

now that they all left its a pretty much a COMPLETELY different studio now with different priorities. sad shyt. This game is in a way basically too good to be true.

Honestly even though I wasn’t dying for SP DLC you can def tell there was a lot cut from teh game and you already know new R* ain’t fukking with single player DLC

Can’t really blame them. A company only exist to make a profit, they make way more money focusing on online play than single player expansions.

People should prepare for teh next gta being online only, especially since they’re tying actual mechanics of the game directly to cloud gaming

It would also explain why Rockstar is constantly trolling the fanbase now. I've been talking about the princess bounty for the longest and they've started trolling with her as well. There's a house on GTA Online that has a picture of the princess all grown up and standing next to a barn at the Braithwaite Estate, it's like they're just fukking with us now.

Just finished all the missions

Monumental game, top 10 game of all time, more of art than a standard video game. With that being said the ending of chapter 6 left a bad taste in my mouth pause. You spend so many hours with Arthur your invested in the story and just like that he dies and you move on right away to Marston and his story. It makes sense to do in order to tie in both games but It took away from the experience to me. I stopped playing for a month because I lost interest. Worst part is Arthur is only mentioned once in the epilouge when John is talking to Charles.

I'm checking out the online but i doesn't seem like something I'll get into so I will hang this up and continue going through my backlog. I will definitely revisit and finish hunting and exploring.

i never played rd1 so that threw me all the way off

even heard that a large chunk of the map is rd1..would like to play it now

great game...but i agree, that ending wasnt graceful

Take-Two is doing a very shytty job in providing a decent online experience.

Their netcode is almost 10+ years old . Both GTA and RDR Online are too easy to manipulate on the PC version.

The fact "modders" can find your IP address through a mod menu and potentially doxx any player is terrible.

All they have to do is provide dedicated servers, but Take-Two is too lazy and greedy to allow Rockstar to provide them.

Now that I think more about it, if RDR3 is going to happen, Landon Ricketts will probably be the main protagonist.

This game will probably take place in the middle of the Wild West era.

I see them going further back to when the gang was formed and concluding with the Blackwater Massacre. Landon was there and actually helped the police during the heist.

RDR = former gang member/outlaw turned bounty hunter
RDR2 = gang member/outlaw henchmen
RDR3 = gang leader (Dutch?)
RDR3 will focus on you running your gang
RDR3 will be MASSIVE in scope and could be incredible if done right. You against other gangs, your growth as a leader, planning for resources and food, longer time laps spanning decades potentially, etc. Too bad the best minds of Rockstar created their magnus opus and left.

RDR3 could show the loose alliance of the O'driscolls and Van Der Linde gang. We will probably see why Dutch's former girl was killed and see Dutch kill Colm's brother.
