Somebody said if you shoot the ground and get the sheriff's attention a couple times you can turn yourself in. You lose all your money but the bounty goes away.

You don't lose all of your money. I certainly didn't. The amount you lose seems to be dependent on the bounty itself. I had about 235 dollars total and racked up a $90 bounty and ended up surrendering. They took $70 odd dollars away, which, if rounding, roughly equates to about 80% or so of the total bounty, which made spending the time in jail more cost effecient, which is a bizarre choice on R*'s end.

For those of you who pre-ordered, when do you get access to the content? I have yet to get my weapons or horse and am in chapter 2 already.

As soon as you can visit the town Valentine, the weapons are available for free at the towns gunsmith. They're easy to overlook and the game doesn't explicitly tell you that you can go pick them up. You get the war horse in Chapter 2 in an early mission with Hosea. He's in the gangs camp.

:ohhh:

Anyone done the stranger mission for the homeless guy sleeping on a bench outside the bank in Rhodes?

He tells you he got made homeless and the bank took his house but he has a bunch of sentimental items he wants back. You kinda feel sorry for him....but then you get to the house, search the place and discover a dungeon type cellar with chains hanging off the walls. One of the items he asks you to recover is a ledger, which when you start reading you realise he was part of the slave trade. The ledger kept a record of all the slaves he sold and held captive...shyt was deep. Turns out he was made homeless once slavery was abolished.

When you return to him Arthur throws his ledger in his camp fire because he doesnt fukk with any of that it seems, I then put a bullet in his head while he drowned in his sorrows :demonic:.

Does fast travel ever kick in? I’m relatively early but this travel between missions is a killer

You probably don't have the money for it yet given you said you're early into the game but fast travel is unlocked via upgrading Dutch's tent at camp. There are two upgrades with the first being mandatory before you purchase the fast travel map. Altogether expect to spend about $600.

Man this game will legit have you questioning your actions :mjlol::ohhh:

Earlier in the game I came across a prisoner who asked me to shoot his handcuffs off, in return he tipped me off about an old lady living by herself in some isolated Cabin near that town called Strawberry.

I'm currently in Lemoyne so I went on a long ass solo mission back up there to rob her shyt. When I got there all she had was a shotgun but she ran out of the house and said she's gonna get her sons to come get me. So I went back there a bit later and I could hear her sons inside, as I approached the front door one of them knocked me to the ground and they all backed guns out on me so I shot all of them...but while I done that the old woman was crying hysterically saying "What have you done!?" and then started shooting at me so I killed her as well and cleared out a lock box with cash that her sons had.

I cant lie I legit felt like I just wiped out an entire family and felt bad as fukk as I was riding back :mjcry:
I try to do right, but if anyone mentions that they know me from Blackwater then it's :demonic:time.
