Yep I lived in Rio and São Paulo. Unless you in the streets, it’s unlikely anything will happen to you. Just like the states.

Now the longer you live anywhere, the higher chance you’ll be a victim of a crime (usually theft or something like that), but dudes just visiting shouldn’t be so ignorant to think they’ll be murdered during a 5 day vaca especially in the areas they’ll most likely be in.

I spent most of my time in the slums and everything was good although I don’t look like a mark. nikkas look uncomfortable, of curse you’ll bring attention to yourself. Move like you know where you going even if you don’t
