I mean, I know that these might not seem like a great example, but if you look at where Russia & China were at the beginning of 20th century and how quickly they turned into world powers, you can see how quickly shyt can happen

Haiti is not known for being murderous hyper violent island. When Haiti skyrocket with murders its usually authorized by the U.S with the corrupted Haitian army/ paramilitary doing the dirty work
Haiti violence /murder rate increase when the U.N Occupation(2004) happen. Thats when haitians in large start leaving Haiti again
