Got it as a gift. Elijah's been my regular since you put me on it but this one is a smoother sip especially if you're drinking it neat.

I can get a 750ml Elijah for $28 and this one goes for $43.

I'm talking about the barrel proof Elijah, not the regular. It's usually $65-70.

I'm finishing off a bottle of Henry McKenna. It got a ton of hype a few years ago so it gets marked up in a lot of places but I got a bottle for retail ($60).

Obviously, it isn't fukking with Elijah Craig Barrel Proof but it's definitely a solid pour and worth checking out if you can get it for MSRP.

I'm gonna crack the Jack Daniels Barrel Proof bottles next. One of the regular whiskey and one rye. I've read A LOT of positive praise about these so I'll see if it measures up with EC or Larceny Barrel Proof.

Been sipping both JD Barrel Proofs lately. They haven't lived up to the hype for me. Between the two, I like the regular whiskey better than the rye.

They aren't trash but I've had better and I'm at the point where I'm gonna stick to absolute favorites going forward when I buy stuff.
