Picked up a second router to use as a wireless bridge. That modem basically came free with it and it's a damn good modem. I thought about selling it but since I had to open it to get the UPC for the mail in rebate I just decided to keep it.

2nd router was $289.99
- $50 mail in rebate
so $239.99 for both the router and modem. I sold my old 2nd router for $120 so for the left over $120 I got both that new router and modem.

Xenoblade came with $10 off some pizza for some reason.

My main pc doesn't have wifi. The only way to get wireless ac speeds at the highest rate is the second router. I upgrade my router annually.

Yeah but it seemed like you upgrade about 4 times this month.

your main pc should be on ethernet not wifi then..
at one point that was true but gigabit speeds are like 125 MB/s max and I can get 90 MB/s between these two routers on wireless. I can move a 3 and a half GB file in less than a minute between PCs over wireless. really in about 40 or so seconds.

I bought a new router and had issues and took it back to get another. Since I always have 2 routers for max link rate and my new router wouldn't work with my old secondary one I sold that 2nd one and replaced it. I got $280 for selling both my old routers and paid out $484 for both the new ones and that new modem was free. so to swap out all my equipment it was like $170 out of pocket. Both those routers cost $280 a piece and that modem is $90. Paying $170 for $650 worth of stuff after all my discounts ain't bad.

I love that modem. The amount of traffic you can run through it and not have one stutter is crazy
