Artifacts is another great duo.

There's really not a lot of them out there...we must be missing people.

theres a lot of great ones out there actually. some of whom are severely underrated, and theres others that im not fully up on myself. aww man, you gotta luv hip-hop.

aritfacts.......I still havnt checked them out yet. what I heard from them was dope tho. whats their best album?

The thread took a turn in your absence. We're trying to rank/identify the best two man groups where both rapped. Who you got in your top ten?

my top 10 tag teams of all-time(not counting groups with djs, producers and such) looks like this:
ORDER TENTATIVE TO CHANGE

1. EPMD
2. mobb deep
3. pete rock & cl smooth
4. the clipse
5. UGK

6. outkast
7. dogg pound
8. MOP
9. capone-n-noreaga
10. 8ball & mjg
nice n smooth, kid n play, smiff n wessun, etc. a lot of groups could easily jump into this top 10.

its tough narrowing it to 10. I have like 25 great ones in my head right now. most of my favorites aint even make the list.

as for the talk of where these duos land on overall group lists, they all fall in mine.
epmd & mobb deep land in my top 15. pete rock & cl smooth prolly in the top 25.

yall crazy.

cnnreunion is a str8 banger. it falls apart in the midst of the 2nd half of the album. too much filler. but that album was heat. 4/5.

used to bang that cd heavy on the train back when it came out. I actually played it more than the war report.

people on here say that dogg pound did in fact drop a really good album after they reunited. I forgot which one. honestly, only album I heard from them was dogg food. I was a HUGE fan back then. by the time they reunited tho, I had already moved on and I was always kinda mad at them for not staying together in their primes because they could've been the goat duo. yea, I was pretty pissed.

man I tried to listen to all of dogg pound's albums after they reunited and they all sound like studio leftover records...Kurupt is main problem: he just doesn't seem like he cares anymore

scarface predated outkast by years. outkast didn't break any stereotypes. you fell for the hype. they were probably the 1st southerners to cater to so-called rap purists tho. I think that may be where the confusion comes in.

pimp c is a good rapper now? wowsers.
bruh you a fukkin pie ass nikka, outkast aint kill the stereotype that south rap aint good? gtfoh. pimp c cant rap!?dead, nikka go listen to yo shytty ny music you fukkin hater.

I'd have:
1. Mobb
2. EPMD
3. Pete & CL (although I think they barely qualify)
4. Outkast

3 and 4 are close. After that probably MOP.

underrated album.

it made rap crews crumble & catch cases.

nobody mentioned nice n smooth.
I've never checked out their albums but liked What I've heard. They are legends to me off Dwyck alone. As for Artifacts - check out the first album then the second. They stuck to their guns in 97 when a lot of east coast cats were selling out (Nas)
