Yeah, it was a devastating L. I was always of the opinion hosting the World Cup was a fool's errand because of the overspending, but I cheered for the team nevertheless, because I didn't want to take out the government's fukk ups on them. I just hope what's in the field stays in the field, and the outrage doesn't take to the streets and screw regular people over.

Don't get me wrong, I cheered for Brazil from beginning to end, and will cheer for us to win third place. But at the end of the day, I'm more concerned about my uncle who's a football hooligan and who's probably drinking himself under the table over this game, when it's not safe to be at bars right now with all the fights breaking out.
How is it right now? Have any bodies been caught?

the germans always played good ball

what i meant is that outside of neymar, this current brazil team had no flare. they were a set piece scoring team. sorta like the og german squads that beat you off set pieces and being disiplined. this current german squad is nothing like those teams. they're filled with players with high technical ability like the og brazil squads used to.

It was truly sad and pathetic display today but there will be no riots and chaos because of this. I was in Brazil for ten days for the WC and the people generally have a free spirited disposition. They won't be down for long. It will stay engrained in their memories but they will move on. It's still an awful look for the, though.

yankees and heat never represented an entire nation

people were put on the streets, kicked off the streets to sleep in ditches for this team. There really is no comparison

did 'representing a nation' and 'kicking people in the streets' make them favorites in this game?

even if neymar and silva played they'd be underdogs. the only shocking thing about this loss was the score, but the L was coming regardless :mjpls:

edit- also buster douglas sonning prime mike tyson >>> a superior/healthy german team sonning an overrated, injured/depleted brazilian team.

at the end of the day .. it's just a sport .. it might be different for the brazilians but tomorrow is still a work day for them and nothing has changed in their lives. Even if Brasil had won the game, except maybe for some parties, nothing would have been different.

:manny: just the way i look at it .. but then again i don't know how rabid those fans are.

I get that ppl were treated terribly so Brazil could ensure this Cup....but even if they won it all, how would that be justified?

These ppl would still be on the street and in ditches win or lose., and that's really the shame of it all.
