- Brazilians love their soccer as we all know. More than any other country loves anything.
- It's a home game.
- They fukked their economy just to host the WC. Jacked up public transportation and gas costs, cut education and health care spending, displaced thousands of Brazilians living in favelas, rushed building much of the infrastructure needed to host it, and ignored the protests of millions of unhappy Brazilians.
- The last time they hosted the WC they lost 1-0 in the final and they've been waiting 64 years to host it again and win on home soil.
- They got their backs blown out.
- It's a legacy-changing loss. Everything, how they play the game, how they coach the game, how they develop their young players, will have to change.

I can't think of any L that compares to this. Shoutout to @AkaDemiK .

Seriously, Hitler is somewhere in Argentina smiling

. This is the most epic "crushing the buildings" moment I can think since the US beat Russia in hockey, and even that was on US soil. Literally proved German superiority. Brazil needs to go back to its essence, they lost their identity, watching Neymar play at times was disgusting, you would have thought he was a stiff CAC instead of a streetballer from Brazil. There was little to no independent show of athleticism from this team, all this team ball, slow it down, we wanna be like Spain type sh*t is not their game. But more sad is that they turned their backs on the poorest sector of their population to make this happen, that's the saddest part of all, the ruling minority fully deserves any rioting that happens after.

Yeah, it was a devastating L. I was always of the opinion hosting the World Cup was a fool's errand because of the overspending, but I cheered for the team nevertheless, because I didn't want to take out the government's fukk ups on them. I just hope what's in the field stays in the field, and the outrage doesn't take to the streets and screw regular people over.

Don't get me wrong, I cheered for Brazil from beginning to end, and will cheer for us to win third place. But at the end of the day, I'm more concerned about my uncle who's a football hooligan and who's probably drinking himself under the table over this game, when it's not safe to be at bars right now with all the fights breaking out.

I honestly can't think of any loss comparable to this...

What makes it such a devastating loss is the ridiculous score, they didn't just lose, they lost by an NFL touchdown...7-1 in futbol is like a basketball team winning by 75...You only see scores like that in friendlys, qualifiers and in the group stages but this shyt happened in the semis on home turf...To make matters worse everyone knows futbol is religion to these people, all they care about is this game...They sacrificed their economy for this tournament and all they got in return was humiliated on the biggest world stage...

Serves them bytches right :blessed:

Germany did them like they were some far east team. It was comparable to when Portugal (CR7) man handled N.Korea. Except it was BRAZIL that was getting man handled like they were Indonesia or something. Terrible, just terrible. AND at home in front of their crowd. damn.

Its like the Dream Team getting smashed at the MGM by Spain as if they were Angola or something. 101-62. That just cant happen.

That's not really a fair comparison. The Germans have always been a great side, and their current roster is stacked. The outcome is shocking but it's to a historic side. Also, how Brazil feels about their national team absolutely trumps any feelings here about the Dream Team.

I can't even really come up with a good comparison.

No, Im saying it would feel like to us, if our dream team got embarrassed like that by spain (who is second best in the world and quite stacked and always have close games with us). nikkas out there dunking on Jordan, breaking Magic ankles, making us look like clowns scoring 101 - 61. Imagine the media frenzy.

Obv there's no comparison since the ENTIRE nation of Brazil support soccer, but just to get a small idea is what Im saying.

They may revolt over this. the shyt the govt did to get the WC was really bad. Some people are going to either resign, or lose the next election. there's going to be an entire political reform over this shyt. I can't even imagine the kind of protests they're going to get during the olympics. I mean do you know how many people were killed (in raids) and removed from their homes over this? only to get embarrassed in front of the whole world? I have a feeling brazilians held back because they thought they might win and get a chance to celebrate, but that dream is shattered and now reality is about to set in when they get on the bus and realize they're paying extra fee to get embarrassed in front of the world.

Man this is bad, real bad.
