Cousins had Napster & Kazaa back in the day. He'd push burnt CDs, and show me the wad of cash he'd have at the end of the day :noah:

I was late on the wave, but my freshman year of college I discovered torrents. :lolbron:

The year 3030
The experience and witnessing Napster's rise, yes. The service itself? fukk no. Everything after Napster improved upon what it built.

Napster ruined the whole music industry. Now everybody is complaining about the lack of variety and horrible artists and music out today.. Well Napster was ground zero. With that said the music industry shouldve been better prepared for the digital age

Napster was definitely a good look, but I was still on 56K back when it first came out since high speed wasn't totally available everywhere. Setting downloads and leaving the computer to run all night was :noah:

But, as far as private joints, OINK was the dopest shyt, there was nearly anything and everything on there, and quality, but the Feds shut that down. Even Trent Resnor from NIN was posting on there and sharing music.

But now, what has been the go to for a minute.

What do yall know about DC and DC++
it didnt have the variety of napster, but having this in a college dorm was :ahh:

would DL albums and movies in like 30 seconds. :krs:

I got on Napster as it was closing out, but it was a powerful era.

Audio Galaxy was the last freely accessible site to have the rarest shyt.

Kazaa was ok, but that shyt used to slow my PC down.

Bear Share and Limewire get the :pacspit: from me. Those were terrible and were infiltrated with viruses and ads.

WinMx was another one. Thats were I first learned that you could see porn for free, and not those 30 second snippets. :ohhh:

I also got the R.Kelly tape off there too. :lolbron:

Ares was the one I used the most.

same here

I still use it from time to time but its slow.

Napster was the shyt. Metallica banned me because my sister wanted this Metallica song :sadcam:

Anybody fukk with Napigator? You'd get to choose which Napster server you connected to. shyt was :ahh:

Just :ahh:

edit: After Napster I don't remember if I switched to soulseek or winmx... maybe a bit of both. Or maybe soulseek came later. Not sure. Morpheus was soon after. That was the first that had that GUI that Kazaa, Limewire and Frostwire jacked. Audiogalaxy and Bearshare were wack to me. I think soulseek was the second-best, it had the rare type of shyt that you could find on Napster but none of the other clients. I was like 10-11 just downloading as much as I could on my 56k modem
