lol yeah seriously. think about it. i come to HL. I rarely leave this subforum...why should I? There are no internal ads saying, "hey check out this article on the main page" or anything really like that...if you're relying on someone else's own curiosity to explore your site you're shooting yourself in the foot.

Yeah, you're really out of date. The main page was originally the-coli.com and these were it's forums. The main page was just changed to Coli News - Hip Hop & Sports News like 4 days ago. It was one of the main messages announcing it like a couple of days ago when you logged onto the forums.

That's why you see the numbers like that. The-coli.com is still the forums because it's doing so well as that so there was no need to change it. The site is actually doing really well, but I don't have the growth and internal numbers on me. We'll see if it keeps up with the main page change. That's why you see the 48% drop in the month of September for the-coli.com. But anything you want to add would be helpful.

So you want charmander in here? TLR people can give good opinions if prompted, a lot of the guys in the seum and booth can as well. My point is, this forum is isolated in a lot of ways and attitudes is one of the reasons why.

Outside of going and getting new people to register for the board just for HL, I don't see many alternatives. BP said shyt was stale too, it's not like it's just me. A lot of you have basically admitted that in the past too.[

from what i'm seeing just more words in general on some of the pages. that one i quoted for example, even a quick 200 - 500 word information write up can do wonders on search rankings.

And like I said just some in forum advertising back to the main page to get people involved in the main page because apparently i'm not the only one who didn't know.

All the articles written on the main page are by forum members. That's where a lot of people get their supporter tags. People have even been sent out to industry event using the site to get media credentials. It's like bleacher report in that regard. I was editing what other people write. We don't have anyone doing it full time yet. That is why a lot of things are shorter, but that's a good idea.

I haven't written anything aside from the intros on a couple of newarkhiphop articles. I'm surprised you missed this though, it was big thing when bk and brooklyn opened up the main page in like june-julyish. I guess HL really is its own bubble.

I mean, where did you think those articles on the left side of the page were linking to?

But actually, to your point about a write up, do you mean like an introduction before every story?

Perhaps you have a point there, but I have actually reached out to Gundam on some grown man shyt, told him I relate to some of his issues as a biracial person, and tried to put him on to some game and offered advice even as going as far as to add suggestions on specific help he may need on several occasions. Many people have. But every time he's been unreceptive. Then he makes another racist thread. He's gotta take some blame there too.
