Master P seems to be comfortable with all types of people and The Cash Money people as well, just that they won't send Birdman to the meetings but Slim and Vernon Brown. And as far as Jay-z goes it seems like he's still got the exact same crew as his 90s team, all the dudes from Brooklyn + OG and some other cats. Now Dame is another story (and the snitch), he's 1 person and from all the stories from everyone on the label from Beanie to Just all the way to Choke he was the problem.

exactly i hear what the other poster is saying. this is true. you have to realize. jay was never a GRIMEY dude. nuccas from NO always look and act grimey.

master P was somewhere inbetween. i've chopped it up with dude personally. not on no personal stuff but i was at a kids hoop game my boy was coaching , back when romeo was a sr in high school. P was in the audience. a real cool dude. down to earth. he aint 100% ignant. thats how he got all that cash without snaking people to do it. he knew how to work with other people outside black folks. his downfall financially was him trying to actually do something the rest of these black moguls are afraid to death to do. and thats get off the breast milk(breast being Sony, universal, Warner Bros, Disney). and coming out with his own distribution. he put a lot of money and time into that. it didnt pan out. so it is what it is. he probably made other investments that never panned out either. look at 50. even though he can be okay around others even though he use to be a grimey NY dude. fif got most of his cash from ONE good investment. vita water. best investment move of his life. and the early success of gunit records, everyone going gold/plat.
thats it.

Fif hasnt made that kind of investment since.

yall have to remember. unlike fif. fif got put on a team and blew up the normal rapper way.

no one wanted JAY. he made his own way with his own label. which means what? he keeps his masters. which mean he's paidddddd in full for his own music yall love. thats how him and dame, biggs were balling out of control once biggie, 2pac past on. the thrown was open. and he snatched it.

you selling a Mil records owning your own masters is crazy money. no one else owned his publishing. it was the labels. his label. he, dame, biggs. cash ola.

so when beans came thru, he probably owned beans publishing like most labels do. mo money. then he did rocafella, great designers for that time and era. BLEW UP. mo MONEY.

so now jay has lets say 60 to 120 mil to play with and invest fail, and invest again. all the while still being an artist. now he's the pres of def jam(figure head). but still. they paid him right for that job. so he's getting crazy money just for sitting in the def jam big chair. does his albums thru def jam. gets mo money. then does the endorsement deals. because like he said. he was the one setting trends. or atleast he was the one everyone looked to. to push a trend out to the masses. its the same reason he's the Executive producer of NBA 2k13. everything right now is based on TRENDING. since jay cant stop trending. he will always be paid by someone to endorse their product or help boost their product. the same thing with the NJ nets thing. he's the loudest voice with that move to BK even though he only owns a super small portion of the nets. but he will have a clothing store up in there and something else in the arena building. probably a 40.40 club or something.

and lets not forget the book. and then getting with BEy just kept him trending forever. they are a power couple in the black community so for us they will trend forever. they are a power couple in the entertainment world. therefore they will trend forever. you may one day see a reality show with Be and Jigga in their 50's, looking all flabby and sick like the osbournes. hiphop is that deep into american culture. and jay and Bey with their hiphop/r&b/pop culture trending ability. they are icons. that will never cease. we will want to know what these people are up to when they're old and gray just like we do other star couples that are icon (sonny and cher) status.

He built great relationships and only burned bridges with people that were no longer useful to him...He avoided controversy and is a great "people person"..People that normally don't deal with Black people seem to like him..

Master P, Suge, J Prince, Baby and these other guys will never get on his level because even though they might be better natural hustlers, they are always gonna come off as out of place in certain settings...

Dudes ability to be comfortable around people that aren't from his enviornment is his strongest assets in business...

rapbeats is on point. Landing a landmark investment like a Vitamin Water or a BeatsByDre doesnt happen often. It's like lightning striking twice in the same spot. Jay got the majority of his doe from selling Rocawear. But his bread and butter has alwaying been ALIGNING himself with whatever/whoever is hot and trendy. Look at his career, he's always done that. He f^cked with cats when their buzz was at its HOTTEST. From jumping on the HA remix with Juve, to riding that Swizz Beatz/Ruff Riders sound, to Wayne, to Drake, to Ross, Timbaland & Missy, even that Reebok deal and tour with 50. We dont even need to mention Ye. This is smart and not really corny because he doesnt sound out of place on any of the collabos. Fam has assumed formlessness. lol You could make a solid argument that Jay has never really started any trends, he got on the train at the right time and became the face of said trend.

Exit Dame, enter Steve Stoute. If you peep that - that's when he parlayed his brand into the corporate world which led him to the deals with Budweiser, HP, Brooklyn Nets. All without comprimising his brand. He's mastered the art of networking.

1. Rap money. Jayz is the most popular rapper ever only second to 2pac , he has sold tons of record, and done tons of shows. Roca Fella records although its dead now was a big deal when it was around, they made a lot of money selling it off

2. Rocawear. Probaly only puffys clothing line was as popular as RW back in the day, everbody rocked rocawear , they mad shyt load of money selling clothes and them even more morning selling it off

3. Investments. Mainly 40/40 clubs which are super popular where ever they are but jay also has money invested in a large hotel chain , i forget which one, but am sure he has his money in other place.

Lastly jayz is probably the most frugal large rap superstar ever. I have seen him in maybachs etc but i have never seen him with no lambos or ferraris or or dumb cars. Am sure he may own one or two of those but i doubt he has many cars as baby, same thing with jewelry, largest piece i probably seen him with is the rocawear chain

Love
is this combined net worth wth beyonce or just him?

also he did have a very good record deal and sold A LOT of records, endorsments, etc.

but i'm sure he got a lot of that through savvy investments as well.

:why:

Does it say "combined net worth with Beyonce"?

House nikka/Uncle Tom is a name that is used by "crab in the barrel" to demean his own kind that aligned themselves with the right people to make it far in the corporate world.

White People: He worked hard.
Black People: He sold out, he sucked dikk, he sold out his people.

Threads like these gives a glimpse of the mentality holding back our people.
A dude smartening up is the worst kind of cat in the hood to these young fools and everyone could've been a professional athlete if he wanted to.
