INVADING SOHH CHAMPION
Jordan wasn't hitting a crazy clip of his jumpshots though. We don't know his exact numbers, but just look at his FG% and that should tell you enough.
MJ only shot 51% on two-pointers for his career. He probably shot about 70% or better at the rim. So he must have been shooting at a below-average clip from midrange to pull his overall average all the way down to 51%. Especially since he didn't start weighting his shots towards the midrange until later in his career.
There's no way you can tell me that MJ finished at an elite level at the rim, and made an elite level of his midrange shots, and still only shot 51% on his twos.
Ya'all mix the very late MJ who worked on his midrange shot extensively (and still wasn't at a GOAT shooter's level) with the early MJ who spent most of his career at the rim and was a mediocre shooter at best. The ESPN/NBA narrative hyped his shooting up way more than deserved. Even in his prime shooting years, there were an awful lot of 7-21 and 13-30 games.
You want to compare? Reggie Miller, Steph Curry, and Steve Nash all made 52% of their two-point shots for their career, and they got to the rim FAR less than Jordan and weren't finishing at the rim as well as MJ either. So their midrange jumpers had to be much more wet than Jordan's to lift their 2pt% over his. Mark Price made 50% of his twos, John Stockton made 54% of his. Again, these are guys who weren't getting to the rim as much or finishing as well there, so how can they be shooting like MJ from two-point range unless their midrange is MUCH better?
You really need to go watch mj.
As it is evident none of you nikkaz with this bullshyt have not watched mj play.
Start from the first game till the end. Till you do you do not know basketball, period.
