Jordan is basically a myth now.

The way it's presented, you would think he scored more points than everybody, won the MVP, DPOY, and All-Star MVP award every single season, won the NBA Finals every year, and carried a team full of D-League level players.

He's the most overrated legend in any sport just for the sheer fact that he's basically "Chuck Norris" of the NBA

Shiiit, let nikkaz tell it Jordan went undefeated every year and took D-league talent to championship heights, gave Phil Jackson a career, and made Scottie Pippen relevant.

Every great player gets hyperbole thrown there way. Listen to what nikkas say about Kobe and Lebron and they are active. nikkas have actually seen their respective fukk ups, blatantly overlook them and still worship at their respective altars.

The flipside to the mythology is the rush to annoint the next "Jordan" or make somebody better than Jordan. I don't see people tryna make some young nikka comin' off the bench Kobe's rival. I don't see people putting nikkas that haven't even played in the league yet on Lebron's level. It's a double-edged sword.

I've been complaining about this MJ thing for years. People are just stupid. And it was a major reason I thought Lebron was stupid for wearing the #23 when he first came into the league. But that will never happen. Mainly because so many people are stuck on Jordan due to marketing, images of their childhood, highlights generation, etc. He's still putting out bball shoes and hasnt played a game in a decade....what does that tell you? This is deeper than bball.

Hell, dude is not even the #1, or #2 scorer of all time, and people wanna act like stats don't matter in that scenario.
