Re-watched superman: man of steel...GREAT MOVIE

Critics were mixed. More critics liked it that didn't. The ones who didn't only didn't like it because they wanted more Donner. Fans loved Man of Steel. We stopped caring about critics a while ago.

Critics =/= everyone.

The only narrative not catching on is the one where folks try to act like the only reason some folks dislike this film is because they wanted Donner's Superman. I couldn't give three fukks if that is what some critics ran with, it's a false narrative when there have been many reasons given why people don't like the film or Supes' characterization that have nothing to do with the Donner flicks.

The fact you once again try to bring that narrative into the discussion shows folks have no other stance.

Batman vs superman should have been the sequel.

The story should have been portrayed 90 percent from superman's perspective with Batman being the villain.

The way they went in the "ultimate edition" was correct, have them both portrayed as villains to a extent, especially superman after the fight with zod and all the destruction, and now city hall being destroyed, and then the dark legend of batman both manipulated by lex...problem is they should of put out the ultimate cut first

So we get a scene of him downing a drone afterwards, but nothing reflecting on killing the last member of his race....after he made the choice to destroy the ship full of designer babies?

I weird to hear ppl keep saying how great this movie is yet theres still no sequel in the works. This was supposed to be start of DCs film universe yet its been abandoned. Suicide Squad is objectively worst modern DCU film yet a sequel and a spin off (Harley Quinn) was greenlit. Shazam gets a sequel. Wonder Woman gets 2 sequels. BatGawd starts and becomes the leader of the JL And Bro Aquaman gets a sequel....despite the comic cacs originally hating a brown Arthur Curry.

But the GOAT DCU film gets nothing but a rumored reboot. It must be so good they could never do a another

I feel like the movie should have focused mainly on superman's character building. The only Bruce Wayne scene should have been him seeing the damage caused by the superman and zod fight. The story should have been about superman dealing with the guilt from the damage caused and establishing his unwillingness to kill or allow humans to be killed under his watch. Clash that with a deranged batman who's willing to do anything to remove superman as a threat. The ultimate cut was better but still felt like they were trying to rush a justice league movie.

They screwed up on superman. Story was but superman showed just how much of a powerhouse he is only to scream out his momma name and die the next flick.
Cavill is a pretty good superman and I was looking forward to how they'd expand the lore but the way they handled the dceu was terrible

Superman has killed Zod before, in fact dozens of times. It's what inspired his 'No Kill' rule after infinite crisis.

With the issues i have with the story i don't even really have a problem with snapping his neck. Then again i am a axe murderer pragmatic individual

The origin, the krypton battle
Zod and crew, fight scene's, storyline, the flow of the movie was all great, the casting was perfect for all characters.

I dont why anyone wouldnt say this movie is great.

Arguably in the top 5 greatest superhero movies and definitely in the top 10

I have no probably with this modern version of superman

It's my personal favorite out of all the comic movies that's dropped

Pretty sure the scout ship had a genesis room for what looked like the designer babies.

Also, you bring up another weird line in this great movie. So the Kryptonian’s need Superman’s cells for the Codex? Didn’t they literally extract blood from him and have access to his cells in that blood draw.
