Those skits were awful. I'm not sure what he was hoping to accomplish when he decided to make them.

the skits served their purpose.

they brainwashed millions upon millions of wrestling fans, and that mindstate is more prevalent than ever 20 years later.

breh they almost put him out of business. imagine building some shyt for 20 years (that your father built for years before that) and some Johnny come lately company comes along, steals your product, breaks all the established rules of the industry, and almost puts you out of business. look at how salty apple/android or PS/xbox stans are toward each other, and they don't even own the fukking companies.

you mean, this is what vince mcmahon did.

the guy that put the territories out of business and is now killing off the indies as we speak.

He ain't do shyt when WCW closed cuz he still was collecting on that contract from WCW. Sting went to WWE because he wanted to, he ain't need the money.
Yes he did, he wrestled for World Wrestling All stars and made a few appearances in early TNA

Everyone knew Sting would get jobbed out by Vince if/when he ever signed to them. So everything that has happened since he got with them has been expected for a long while now.

I'm in the majority here that believes he should've won against HHH but I'll go out on a limb and say out of the 3 matches he's had, he only lost 1 cleanly.

IMO, he should've beat both Seth and HHH though but I was more upset with the HHH loss than the Rollins 1

i don't even watch wrestling.. anymore

but you seem to make the most sense in this thread

i mean people make it seem like impossible that at 50 something.. this dude would just say "i need some fukking money and fukking this wrestling shyt"

"hey man can you lose to HHH"

"you gonna pay me right?"

what else was he supposed to do? become "the wrestler" living in a trailer home, doing road shows for $1500 a night

some of the best sports players in the world, don't give two fukks or even like their sport... they are just good at it and it pays them :yeshrug:

I think the problem is that Sting said in interviews that he did not go to WWE because he saw what they did to other WCW guys. He didn't trust how he was going to be used. Made him seem like he wasnt gonna just go there to collect a check.

Never underestimate the jealousy and envy of Vince McMahon..even at this successful point of his life's road.

I don't think it was just a check.

I didn't know this many ppl aren't a fan of Sting.. the disrespect is at an all time high

He came at a bad time... aside from it being 14 years late, there was no way HHH was losing at WM after jobbing 3 of the last 4 years because they were trying to set him up for a match with The Rock this year... and for whatever reason, they never had plans to put him against Taker

He came in thinking he was doing a send off match... then decided to participate more since I guess he's having fun

Dude definitely isn't just there for a check... he's clearly there just scratching what it's like to be in the WWE off his bucket list

Vince was of the thought they were trying to put him out of business but Turner has never confirmed or talked in that matter. The Goldberg Monday Night Wars episode on the Network..the wording and they speak of WCW "taking their talent with Turner's check book" is hlarious.

I'm a Sting fan and as much as I hated seeing dude lose... he's a grown ass man who knew what he was getting into the moment he signed with WWE. I can't feel sorry for dude :yeshrug:
