Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
I think the problem is that Sting said in interviews that he did not go to WWE because he saw what they did to other WCW guys. He didn't trust how he was going to be used. Made him seem like he wasnt gonna just go there to collect a check.

Yea. Then you check that bank account and realize you need a check

I mean he didn't get dumb all the sudden. He didn't avoid them all that time and suddenly believe the good in them

He's old. They offered up enough money to take it. And according to these guys, he hopped at the chance before ensuring he'd be put on top again.

Sounds like desperation. And this dude is my second favorite wrestler of all time. But after seeing a lot of these guys post career, it's painfully apparent, only a slim few continue to live good out of the thousands who did it

How do you know he cared about ensuring it in the first place?

Sting ain't desperate for anything. He's made big money in WCW, TNA, & is well known real estate guy. The WWE offer was probably too good to pass up, especially when you see how much stuff he has up on WWEshop and the 2K 15/16 royalties

Ok maybe he wasn't desperate. Maybe that's the wrong word

My point is, dudes crying like b-b-but what about his legacy

All I'm saying is he probably didn't give two fukks about that. And this was all about money. Whether he needed it or not. He was willing to take it in exchange for exactly what happened

Halls right bsting came in like a sucker.

The hhh match was bad enough. Then dude oks rollins turnbuckel powerbombing him like an idiot and does somethingbi haventbseen in years in falling down like an old man and not being able to get back up. He came in like a chump.

He avoided coming in all those years cause and i quote "when the rock asked who are you to booker t he conpletely disregarded the wcw wrestlers"

And he comes in like a doofus and gets buried WORSE than anyone before him. Its laughable

i know it's about money, but isn't winning and losing also tied to money? if sting is portrayed as a huge loser, are kids gonna wanna buy his merchandise?

what benefit is there to having sting lose? doesn't it help to at least put over the guy? THIS is how they want him remembered?

You think people are going to remember him for two matches?

His dvds. WWE network. TNA. How people talk about him. His hof induction. Etc.

what's more important to you, a first impression or a lasting impression?

either way, i believe sting was introduced to this generation of fans in the WORST possible way.
