Always gotta be a goofy looking ass nikka talkin the most shyt. Dude made no fukking sense as to what he said. Pusha underperformed just because he doesn't have a hit solo?

Pharrell and Kanye "can give anybody in the world a hit?" :what: He clearly hasn't done his research on that

Pusha T as a solo artist never intended to be mainstream due to what he raps about so I don't understand what dude is talking about. You can tell by the type of beats he's selected since he's gone solo. He's had features from Jay in a short time span so he must be doing something right

This cornball just wanted to shyt on Pusha. He looks like a Drake stan

Nah, Pusha underacheieved because here are two of the biggest producers in music and there is nothing notable to where we could look at Pusha T and say there's anything noteworthy on a grand scale.

It's not even just about the hits. AND LOL at his content not being mainstream when you have guys like T.I., Jeezy, and Ross who essentially had the same content. Pusha has had singles that featured Chris Brown and The Dream that flopped.

And the same goes for Clipse. At the height of their careers, they even had huge hits in "Grindin" and "When The Last Time". Album was entirely produced by The Neptunes in an era where they produced 40% of the hits on radio. They were featured on Justin Timberlake's debut solo single. They even performed on MTV with him.

Funny because Push is more relevant than all those rappers you listed and he got 20 + in the game with an album that went number a few months ago.

When was Push suppose to big solo ?
During the trap era ? Internet blog era ?
SoundCloud era ?

I really want to know I think y’all talking just to talk and not looking at the game as whole.

Breh, he's not doing much better than any of the guys I listed. Besides, career wise, its not even close and the biggest song from T.I., Jeezy, and Ross wasn't produced by a super producer.

Pusha T was signed to G.O.O.D Music. He was featured on big hits and had features from Chris Brown and The Dream on his singles.

So you're telling me every artist that worked with Kanye and Pharell has something noteworthy on a grandscale? I'll let you think about that one

Pusha's solo music career as whole isn't mainstream if you really know his catalogue. He doesn't make club anthems or music for the bytches like TI, Jeezy, and Ross have made so I don't know why you bought them up as a comparison. Sweet Serenade and MFTR were flops but they weren't even lead singles for him to grasp that mainstream audience. If he was pushing for that mainstream audience, both of them would have been the lead singles off those albums

Clipse was more mainstream than Pusha was as a solo artist. Grindin, When The Last Time and Ma I Don't Love Her were all singles that charted and were considered mainstream

I don’t even care about album sales but do your googles Pusha nearly doubled all of their last/current projects in first weeks sales.

:francis:

It’s 2023 not 2008 you mentioning Chris brown and the dream like mens are out here snapping they fingers and wearing long tees .

He's right. Dude is like a trust fund baby with how he can get Kanye, Pharrell, Hov etc on an album that will get zero play outside of headphones.

Dude had no business being on multiple features on that Pop Smoke album.

The only reason he isn't selling 20k first week like the rest of his peers is cause the Drake beef gave him a big look.

Pusha T only doubled T.I.'s numbers, which is neither here or there because even with those numbers Pusha only has ONE plaque as a solo artist. And this was never about mumbers. People run with this narrative that Pusha wasn't mainstream because of his content. OK, then explain how T.I., Jeezy, and Rick Ross were successful selling coke raps WITHOUT a super producer helming their albums.

Pusha didn't have Chris Brown and Dream features in 2023. He had them a decade ago back when a Chris Brown and Dream feature was still a thing.

Breh, look at the track record:

2Chainz- "Feds Watching" produced by Pharrell was successful. He's had co-productions from Kanye that were successful

Kid Cudi

Big Sean

And even with The Clipse, they were gold with two huge singles and another that got heavy rotation on MTV. This is even with them being on a Justin Timberlake single.

I mean isnt it pretty obvious that push didnt care to go that route in the first place? He couldve easily dumbed himself down to make a hit if he wanted to

This whole dumbing down to make a hit is a tired and weak argument. For one, nothing about Pusha is that complex to where he would have to dumb down. Two, he had Kanye AND Pharrell especially Pharrell, who often creates hooks to whatever he has a hand in.

Nobody's saying Pusha T had to go full on mainstream or even expected him to. That doesn't excuse the faft that he had commercial attempts, was featured on big hits, signed to Kanye's label, and had albums helmed by Kanye, Pharrell, and more recently BOTH.
