All the autotune music you hear was initially and largely funded by grand hustle artist. Or someone using amenities or resources related to grand hustle.


For every pioneer of this genre of music. That is a far cry from cher and Madonna using autotune. Is Influenced or was around a heavily resourced grand hustle artist movement.
Only other camp is dungeon family and after the artist who made creatine who coined trap as this thing on record first. Plus future. The main company and artist led label was ti's grand hustle.

Just like no one says trap don’t exist without grand hustle. T.I might of imagined it by the inspiration of DF.

Jeezy and Gucci embodied it and brought it to life with the influence of Memphis music.

Pusha don't try and make hits though.. Really, name the radio friendly singles that you think was supposed to be hits? He doesn't even attempt them. He's very clearly stated he's going to make Coke Rap forever and never change that at all

He does have two Grammy nods and 3 critically acclaimed albums out of 3... I'd call that success

Now if he had Beiber on a hook and was still flopping, he'd have a point

push is talented but also easily one of the most overrated rappers on this website and beyond

the way people talk about push you'd think he is revered like jay or had big numbers at least - it's weird

Jay-Z has 4 songs with this nikka and Push was never even on the label... Jay will come out of hiding to do songs with Pusha so it's not weird at all that others also regard him highly

Nobody's saying Pusha T is wack.

Nobody's saying he should be a pop superstar.

We can't compare him to Sean Price for the following reasons:

1) Sean ain't have a career of Neptunes, Timbaland, and Kanye helming albums. There were no Pharrell features.

2) We didn't see Sean Price in the MTV VMA's performing alongside Kanye and Justin Timberlake

3) We didn't see Sean Price featured on these big songs like "Mercy", "Like I Love You", and "Run Away". People ain't even understanding that Push was on Backstreet Boys remixes.

4. Not really lol. Push didnt get pushed nearly as much as dudes he was signed with. Cudi and sean were bigger artists but couldnt maintain their status like push did and now he outselling them. But yet push is the one that underachieved smh

1. Breh, Big Sean went gold with Hall of Fame WITHOUT Kanye nor Pharrell producing his songs on that album. Push has yet to receive a certification for any of his solo albums.

2. Mos Def went Gold with Black on Both Sides. Outside of Premier producing "Mathematics". There were no super producers he was aligned with. Not to mention he was signed to Rawkus. Scarface was a consistent seller and minus a Dre beat on Untouchable, no superproducers and no real mainstream singles. Never changed his style. Has a string of gold and platinum albums without being mainstream.

3. The joint album with Jay Z is how Jay Elect even got a release date.

4. Pusha T was on "Runaway". He was also on "Mercy". He was the first of the Wyoming projects and the one Kanye spent the most time on.
