yep, he was a very good face IMO , he's not quite believable enough as a tough guy heel (even tho he is a legit scrapper) but as a delusional self important jerk he can really do some things depending who they pair him up with.

I mean that his moves are more suited towards working heel in the ring.
I agree with your second point, and that's the problem with a lot of championship level heel/face turns.
If you don't line up good opponents for the guy to work with, he loses that face luster and people get bored with him. His push loses steam, people stop checking for him, and you're forced to move him down the card or change his alliance again.
