No offense but how can you truly rate a college unless you attended? I'd say even stayed on campus to truly get the full experience
I can't speak for everyone, but I think a lot of people who were more active at their HBCUs did a lot of cross functional events and interactions with other campuses.

I know a lot of my family is tied in one way or another with schools too and I'm always doing the recruiting handhold every few years for church or stuff.

Lived in Greensboro from 2005-2013. Didn’t attend this college but been to “the commons” too many times. Always attended GHOE. The thing that I always noticed about the alumni they’ll let you know they an Aggie. They quick to scream “Aggie Pride”. I think the school can be known more for their homecomings and partying but people ignore the fact a lot of black engineers come out of that place which is dope. I smashed a few Aggie broads during my time in Greensboro.
Yea, we gone let you know we Aggies. Anytime we see another Aggie out and about, you greet em with that “Aggie Pride” lol

Between GHOE and superjam Greensboro gave me soo many memories in my 20s. That’s probably the best city in NC for our people imo. I mean I like Winston Salem too man the whole triad was lit when I was there.

Bruh how did they become your #2? Was their band a factor?

I only went to Bama State cause I was a music Ed major at the time..I wanted to go to FAMU cause we played their music & both of my HS directors were FAM grads, but after I discovered the SWAC, I didn’t have any interest in any MEAC schools.
My high school was semi corp so I've always have an affinity for Meac bands since they're closer to DCI than we are. shyt some even mix in roll stepping. 06-10 (years I was at JSU) NCAT band was.... not great. I couldn't do it. Saw a video of Cookman coming to them. Most one sided battle I've ever seen. Solid school of business, loved the way the campus looked, heard nothing but great things. Still have this weird space in my heart for what could've been so I'll always fukk with the Aggies! But ultimately JSU College of Business came a calling and the Boom is the Boom. We was bouncing back off that dreadful 05 season and been on beast mode from 06 on.

This is where I feel like I fukked up. If I could go back, I would've went to an HBCU.

I had no college life. I went to a local community college then finished at a local public PWI. I was a commuter student working jobs the whole time too. I was accepted by FAMU, Morehouse and Bethune. Morehouse gave me 0 financial aid & I would've been a quarter million in the hole for a bachelor's degree. My mom & brother were tryna push me into going there anyway :mjlol:

I was gonna go to FAMU because they had the best package but my brother told me no, that shyt was ratchet & dirty and he wasn't letting me go there :mjlol: so I scratched it off my list. I ended up pissing both of them off & going the community college route.

Only thing I knew about NCAT at the time was they had a mean ass arrangement of Velvet Rope. A lot of high school kids in the Atlanta area like them now for some reason & a lot want to go there.

I didn't go to A and T but I grew up in Greens.

So as soon as we was tall enough to pretend to be in college, we was out there. Daily.

Slept in the dorms. Fought on the strip. Rapped in mad cyphers. Fukced some college chicks.

We tried Bennett Belles too but you couldn't just be on their campus like that as a male (all female Black College right around the corner).

Bruh at Alabama State, as soon as you went out the main gate, you were in the Paterson Court projects. In Atlanta, the Clark, Morehouse, Spelman & Morris Brown are right next to the projects as well. I always found that crazy..back when they allowed blacks to start our own schools they gave us the worst land..same places states put public housing complexes.
not trying to be that guy, but I notice a lot of universities (not all, but some) are by bad areas, I never understood that. I know mine was/is (wasn't a HBCU)
