take DMV out the title and put DC
The only parts of MD and VA that are like DC are the ones thats directly bordering the city
So if thats the case then just put DC. "DMV" is just confusing people and is useless.

A lot of the DC natives now live in PG county, but they still come to DC for social events, plus you have places like Downtown Silver Spring, while not in DC, is a popping area.

I'm going to give DC (in particular) a 7.
When I last visited DC the most memorable experience for me was the food, I remember ordering some kind of spicy chicken wings and a milkshake spiked with liquor, it was really good I had to ordered some more before I went back to the airport.
I also brought my youngest sister a custom necklace from Tiny Jewel Box, as far as the rest of the city it's pretty nice & colorful.

It does confuse, because it's "Rate this City" not rate this region...
I get that people in the general metro area are going to have an opinion and influence...but then places like Philly aren't 1.5 million...it's 6 million people and includes south Jersey, and basically Atlantic City.
Atlanta is 5 million people.
Miami includes Ft. Lauderdale which actually a great fukking area...and people probably would have voted higher than an average of 5.

I was gonna do DC by itself but a few posters told me to cover the whole DMV area instead. NYC scored much higher then any other city, I know some of y’all hate it on here but the facts are is It’s just a really popular city.
I also gave DMV an 8 because the Metro system is on some b.s. - never on time, track maintenance, commuter system in NoVA gets held up by tree branches on the tracks

what are you talking about?just like parts of Chicago or New York are not influenced by the same cultural ties. There are regional differences within the cities itself that may not apply to the entire area, in this case it happens to be subsections of different states.

I know, but DMV includes Alexandria and PG county...all of which are nice areas, but potentially inflating the numbers or deflating other numbers. Case in point Miami only being a 5, which I agree with...but Ft. Lauderdale which is comparable in distance to a DMV actually is like an 8.
Going by the entire metro area is actually the better way to do this IMO.
Exactly. The term "DMV" makes people think DC MD and VA are all the same. When its not. Baltimore is nothing like DC and DC and Baltimore is nothing like Richmond Va. Only parts that are the same are within the metro area of those cities, and thats with EVERY city in the USA. So the term DMV is basically useless
