I'd give DC about what i would give Atlanta. 8.5.

DC has a lot going for it. Plenty to see and do, great public transportation, the food is good, very diverse, thought definitely not on the level of NYC or LA, vibrant in a lot of areas. DC ihas become a top notch city over the last 15 years do to contractors and a bloated government. And i love how the city is built. Countless historic events have happened in DC it being the nations Capitol. They also have some of the best looking black women in America, and is one if the best places for black people in the country.

That being said, the city has become a soulless, narcissistic, power driven, vanilla town that is losing is local culture by the minute in favor of chain restaurants and whatever else white people have turned that place into. I despise Go go music, I've never had a good crab cake there, and it tends overrated in certain aspects such as food, attractions. It has a bit of a contrived feel to it, lacking a organic feel.

Top rated school systems in the country (NoVa, MoCo) if you have kids
Great professional scene to network
Great social crowd ( everyone had a job and some sort of education)
Lots of different cultures and embassies

Cons: Horrible traffic and constant construction on 495, 295, 66, 395, 95
High cost of living ( Hopefully you can offset it with a high paying job and dual incomes)

True

I hate when they lump us together with them. when people actually visit both cities, then they're like...ohhhh they are completely different places.

Nah it’s not fair to y’all to be lumped into the DMV umbrella. It’s lazy.

On some larger mid Atlantic shyt sure but that’d include southern VA too. Baltimore is its own place with its own vibrant culture to offer people. Lowkey makes me proud of Maryland, we got Baltimore and DC wouldn’t exist without MD so it’s a part of the state culturally at least.

I wanted to live there, but the job offers i got would have me living in a one room shack in southeast DC, that dog wasn’t gon hunt. I think aside from the insane cost of living, the weather would also keep me from the area. But the times I’ve visited I’ve had fun, and the African beautiful women will have a nikka losing his mind, i also feel like if you get in with the right crowd you could fukk around and get a leg up in society

How are you including the whole DMV for Washington?

DC doesn't have 6 million people living in the city. They are about a tenth of that size.

DC is cool. It's like my third home. Most of my fam lives in and around Philly or DC, so I spent a lot of time there.

I love being around upwardly mobile and ambitious black folk, and DC probably has more per capita than any city in the country.

Cost of living is ridiculous, traffic is fukking insane but everything else is on point.

Its clean
Good opportunities
Good schools
Culture feels right
Nice diversity in the area
Nightlife is good
Women are on point
Nice distance to the beach
Sightseeing is official

Feels like all cities should be built like this. Although the skyline is kinda wack. I get not having it look like New York, but it'd be nice to see 5-10 buildings with some personality that you could see from miles away.

I'll give it a 9. I wish I moved there when I had the chance right after college. What's crazy for me is, I didn't think I would rate it this high, but all things considered how could I not.

Living in the dmv area is not bad at all. Plenty of job opportunities. Pretty good amount of things to do to entertain yourself as well. I gotta knock off 2 points due to the traffic though. The WOAT. If you're on 295, 395, 95, 66, etc during rush hour good luck :snoop:
So it gets an 8.
