Rate This City: Day 7- DMV (DC, MD, VA)

I know, but DMV includes Alexandria and PG county...all of which are nice areas, but potentially inflating the numbers or deflating other numbers. Case in point Miami only being a 5, which I agree with...but Ft. Lauderdale which is comparable in distance to a DMV actually is like an 8.

I see what you mean. In the future threads I will only include the cities and not the metropolitan areas.

I was gonna do DC by itself but a few posters told me to cover the whole DMV area instead. NYC scored much higher then any other city, I know some of y’all hate it on here but the facts are is It’s just a really popular city.

Those posters are just weirdo nikkas from deep in MD/VA who wanna be included so bad with this "DMV" shyt. Just do DC by itself. DC is nothing like MD or VA unless you talking about directly bordering parts.

I was born and raised in DC so that's what I'm commenting on. 10 for the real city not the one you see on tv. Currently it's nice and very cosmopolitan but the old DC was one of a kind. Projects, gangs, drugs and killings within walking distance of the Capital

Where are you getting Baltimore from ?? For the 100000000th time, DMV does not include Baltimore . it is DC, Southern Maryland and Northern VA - Baltimore is a whole separate city.

Nah, include the metro...most cities in the US are actually shytty as fukk. But some of the towns on the outskirts making them popping as shyt.

Case in point, I'm from Philly...I rated Philly a 7...knowing damn well you really only can love Philly if you were born there or never even been to a city before. But the general area of Philly is popping.

For the longest time, and this is what I sold people on Philly's appeal, you are 2 hours from skiing, 2 hours from the beach, 2 hours from NYC 2 hours from DC, 2 hours from AC and gambling all with a cost of living of half of those places.

You need to include the metro area.

This thread is weird with everyone’s interpretation of what is or isn’t the DMV when its not that difficult. if you don’t know what, “kill moe” means, have a Danny’s or Yums around you - you aren’t in the DMV. There are so many identifying marks that separate us from B-More, Northern & SE VA.

@Son_Of_God don't listen to this trolling faggit. He's been mad ever since he self exposed on a thread last week. Leave it just like it is please.
Not all areas function under the "DC" label specifically. Just like a dude from Northern VA or PG will not say they're from DC specifically without getting checked for frauding.
Same for NY- you can't say that you're from Queens but really live in Brooklyn-as an example. We are all under NYC but there are distinctions as far as territory and part of the culture.

DC is just like NYC in terms of crossing borders easily into different towns. You could be in BK and easily go to SOHO for a party but its all under the NYC umbrella. In the DMV you could be in Brentwood and cross the border real quick for a nice art show in Mt Rainer. So the DMV is a way to label the entire region under one umbrella
