Allentown, PA I became a Kings fan because of Chris Webber and those early 2000s teams. Stayed a fan afterwards. I don't jump from team to team.

I can dig that...

I was a Lakers fan before anything and there's always been Laker fans in Sac. Then I became a Kings fan, and jumped off the train a decade ago until like 2-3 years ago. I guess you can say I'm more a fan of the NBA as a whole than a particular team but I always root for the Kings success so I kinda am a real fan lol...

Before Sacramento landed the Kings I was a Laker fan . I then became a fan of them in the late 80s and became a stan in the early 90s.

That run with Webber and Peja was :blessed: after seeing all the bad happen to the team before.

I went to my childhood bedroom last week and I never realized how much Kings memorabilia I still have from the Mitch Richmond and Kenny Smith days :wow:

Sac been here 13 years

Its more of a family based area than it is for someone 25 single with no kids.

It seems small but got 450,000 people within the city limits 2 million people in the county.

Food is ok. I mean they got some good barbeque joints and a few cool black owned spots.

I get my wings and fries at boss market in oak park.

Cost of living: its decent u can get a cool 2 bedroom apt for like 800 dollars in a decent area.

Nightlife: there alot of cool bars in sac paticular downtown. Now if u from nyc la bay dc miami sac gonna be boring to u cause the club scene isnt much here its more of a lounge bar spot.

Women: this is the best part of sac they a1 here most women in sac look good especially black women here or mixed.

They women shyt on 95 percent of cities in usa.

Black people. Sac probably got out of 450,000 people 90,000 blacks.

Biggest concentration of blacks are in south and north area of sac.

Elk Grove
Roseville
Citrus heights
Fair oaks

Alot of this

:mjpls:

From cacs.

Its not da bay or la far as the hustle but its a cool place if u looking to settle down.

Gentrification and cost of living going up cause its a transplant city with alot of bay and la cats moving here driving up rent.

I give it a 8

Mainly cause of the women

I just wanna see the Kings make the playoffs brehs @LezJepzin @murksiderock :mjcry:

I was 19 the last time the Kings were a playoff team. I'll be 33 in 2 months. I was a fukking teenager last time they made it. Went my entire 20s without seeing a Kings basketball. This is why I laugh when I see fans on here complain about their team being bad. They ain't seen shyt compared to the ineptitude of the Kings.

@AvadaKadaBreh @TAYLONDO SAMSWORTHY @BeeGoinCrazy @Paper Boi @LezJepzin @bl2k8 @Max.

And any other Sac cats on here I forgot about, speak on it!

I'll set it off from the perspective of someone from the city, but mostly raised outside the city. I think I've gotten a perspective of having seen so many areas around the country, it helps me appreciate Sac even more every time I'm back...

Wonderful and underrated city that gets undervalued because it isn't coastal like most California cities, and is in a state loaded with large and popping cities. If Sac was anywhere else in Anericq it would be more appreciated...

The culture is unique, there is Bay influence but Sac has it's own web of influence. The different personalities of the city are interesting to note, like North Sac is different from East Sac which is different from South Sac...

One of the most diverse cities in the whole country with a strong economy and an underrated strong black community. Some of the most gorgeous women anywhere, the arts scene is popping, great food...

About the only drawbacks to Sac for me is that there aren't any majority black neighborhoods anymore, its normally very dry and when it's hot, it's hot as fukk in Sac, and that Sacramentans don't seem to realize how great the city is and what it can be. Not a defeatist mentality, but I debate this with my siblings--->there are 10 of us total, 8 of us were born in Sac and 6 of us spent their entire upbringing in Sac and never left. And the pessimism Sacramentans have when comparing Sacramento to The Bay or elsewhere is crazy to me, because I've seen these other places...

Sacramento is exactly what you'd think a city its size, 2.3-million metro and the center of culture and commerce for a ~4 million Central Valley, it is exactly what you'd think a city its size should have. And I've been to and/or lived in Baltimore, Charlotte, Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Nashville, etc and the biggest difference between all those cities and Sac is all those cities are either the 1st or 2nd biggest cities in their states, so their isn't as much competition pulling the spotlight from them...

And I'm talking shopping, food, transit, nightlife, economy, arts, etc, on balance Sac stacks up well with all of these places, even if it doesnt have the "best" of everything, by no stretch does it have the worst in anything...

Like @FruitOfTheVale said about Oakland, I've been enough places to see Sacramento has mostly the same level of things similar sized cities have, and does some things better than these cities. It's just in California...

My perspective may would be different if I only grew up in Sac and it was all I knew, I'll let the other brothers chip in but I love the city, period. Only other place in California I'd take ahead of it is LA, no exceptions. shyt is an easy 8 for me and when the COL bubble bursts and black people start migrating back to Cali, its potential is so high. I love Sacramento...

Yeah you pretty much nailed it. I hated it growing up cus it was hella wack and I felt everyone hated nikkas since all the Oakland cats was migratin fukkin shyt up etc. When I went back most recently for my school reunion it was pretty nice and kinda poppin. I'd never move back but I'd say based on my last visit I'd give it a 7.

And for context, Before I'd gave it a 2 :dead:

Before the Kings made the playoffs in 1996, we had a coach suffer a heart attack during a game, a up and coming player commit that after a breakup, a 62 point loss to the Warriors after getting Mitch Richmond and a 43 game road losing streak :snoop:

My parents are from Oakland but the migrants didnt start fukking shyt up until the 90s. Thats how Elk Grove blew up in population.

A number of those same Bay nikkas left because they got ran out :pachaha:

My mom's side originates from West Sac and the Delta. Outside of visiting the family cemetery every year, I don't know much about it. All my fam is super mellow and accepting though. Seems like a decent spot to raise your seeds.

Why y'all shyt on Milwaukee like that :russ:
Cuz it's prolly more like Mil"wack"ee. :francis:

Far as Sacramento. All I know is they got a basketball team. Doesn't seem as exciting as the main 3 cali cities but for that small town feel I guess it can't be so bad. I see @LezJepzin gave a great summary so kudos to him for that.

@murksiderock do you think I should do a thread on Malibu?

Nah, that's just an LA suburb and ain't enough blacks out there to give a strong assessment...

I understood why you gave Compton a thread but I didn't think that was needed, it's part of LA. You could do one on Long Beach or Inglewood or Pasadena but I feel about Compton, they just peripheral cities/outer LA hoods that could have been subdivided within the LA thread...
