We separating burbs from the city proper in this series?

If that's the case I think atlanta should be a lot lower on the list.
East Orange is not city proper- it's a different city. West Orange and East Orange are not considered part of Newark. Neither is Livingston or the Caldwells.

Mayne it's like this.. Newark is evolving, downtown is Ok, it's cacs walking around if it's heavy police presence or a Hockey game but they leave when the sun go down... it's near everything. Don't venture inwards to where the hood is, don't come down Bergen st, Broad St, Springfield Ave, or South Orange thinking it's Disneyland.

I wouldn't buy a plane ticket to come visit or nothing like that

Been there twice

first time was for a hookup, I took the PATH all the way to South Newark from NYC for some head :mjlol: bytch stayed off of Bergen, it looked just like the Midwest w/ the busted up houses surrounded by vacant lots and miles of nothing. Wasn’t nobody outside like that either, the energy wasn’t bad or nothing like that though.

The second time I flew into Newark on the way to Philly and killed 5 hours in Downtown Newark. They got a lot of college campuses but it don’t seem like there’s much to do. I mainly walked down Broad and people watched a little, it’s your typical industrial city vibe.

O/a for being the biggest city in Jersey it’s boring, Jersey City got more going on from what I saw and it’s a lot closer to NYC. 5/10

@Collateral

they would kno better.

I heard it's a solid city

a large hispanic and black pop
it's not that bad, the cleaned up and revitalized some neighborhoods. Built new housing. Downtown Newark has the hospital, engineering and technology schools, Rutgers, Seton Hall law school, and NJPac. Bloomfield is primarily Hispanic. Newark is a small city but it's proximity to NYC has advantages too for job opportunities. The "no left turns" is some bullshyt but that's not a Newark problem, that's most of NJ. Idk is they still have "blue light laws" or whatever they call it, where a lot stores and places are closed on Sundays.
