It's a 10 regardless of what anime snobs think

It doesn't mean DBZ is the greatest anime of all time, it just means it's one of the GOATS, and to deny that is just being contrarian, same as Naruto.

DBZ being a 10 does'nt make any of it's contemporaries less good, and it does'nt make anything that's out now less good either.

Seriously? If you watch anime could you take someone seriously as an anime fan if they never watched DBZ? I'd look at you the same way if you said you never watched Berserk or FOTNS.

I factored in the movies too, I watched the Legendary Super Saiyan last week and it's just as lit as I remember it

Didn't like when they changed it to Goku and the Saiyan 5. Everything just centered around Goku and the Saiyans got boring to me looking back on it. By the way, Ocean Dub>>>>. Goku vs Vegeta was better than Goku vs. Frieza for me. They ended up doing Gohan dirty just to focus on Goku. Growing up DBZ was great, but there are better anime/manga out there now I feel. But DBZ is still one of the Top of All Time Greats. I had to make sure we got off that school bus on time to catch Toonami!

Taking whole episodes to power up, Planet Namek taking 20000 episodes to self destruct, etc. They really knew how to drag shyt on.

Keep me tagged for other anime threads too by the way.

But since it was the gateway anime for me I have to give it a solid 8.

DragonBall--the manga and the cartoon--should've ended after the Cell saga. Every single "cool" thing that happened (Fusion, SS3, the Z-Sword, Buu's transformations, etc.) was ultimately pointless. Goku just hit him with the Super Spirit Bomb after a fight that dragged on way too long.

Vegeta was the best character in the whole saga, because his character direction was the only one that made any sense. :bphubie:

Now I will admit DBZ was the prototype. But I put One Piece at 1 and DBZ at 2. Hell even regular Dragonball had great, more grounded fights. The fights were great in DBZ, it's just Goku save the day every day theme I got tired of.
