As an idiot teenager, I loved him but seeing him now, he really was a narcissistic, self-serving megalomaniac.

I give it a 6.

My main problem is that Light saw the inherent problems within society being those who commit crime and never addressing the structural issues that create crime. He was killing pick pocketers and had plans to kill the 'lazy' at some point. By the end of the series, Kira's impact was a severe reduction in 'crime', but not in poverty.
