This is a myth

Jordan guarded Magic more Than Pippen did and continued to guard him throughout the series

Just like the Pistons "getting old" and Mike taking two years vacation (even though he was playing another professional sport which still required training and strain on your body) they really make up anything to discredit Mike

Gotta disagree with you there. 90's Mike, sure. But young 80's Mike was running you down and smashing your shyt. He was definitely the king of the chase down block

But we're agreeing on the different types. 80's Mike was a pesky defender, passing lanes, running up and down, your chase blocks, but not a lockdown on the ball as much. 90's Mike was one-on-one lockdown, but not as pesky/active all over the floor...while keeping up with the physicality. He transfered his specialties. Either way, he was a great defender

Rasheed Wallace was in the league for 16 seasons and was NEVER picked for the all Defensive team

this nikka is mainly remembered for getting techs & rocking hi top ones :dahell:
But don't sleep on Sheed. He was a beast defensively, especially on the blocks, man-to-man. Hell, that's why he fit so well with the Pistons. They had 4 of the best on-the-ball defenders at their positions. And

Nah, Pippen used to get killed as well. Hell, every good SF regularly torched Pippen. I think Pippen was better in the open floor, and Mike was better in the half-court, so they complimented each other perfectly. Mike would be physical, so if you weren't a quick player he was gonna torment you. And for Pippen, the faster you played, the easier he could stop you. That's why they often switched on players, depending on the style. If they were quick, Pippen was gonna guard him, and if they were slow and methodical, it was MJ.
Yeap....and off note , you see something similar with Ant and Jaden McDaniels today

He doesn’t have any real blemishes on his career so they have to make shyt up.

this is still just such a bad take

just like saying Kobe or Lebron are bad defensively

Lebron is a beast and will lock you up if he wants
Kobe literally never lost a 1on1 game (that ive seen)
Jordan even psychologically used to take opponents out of games completely, he was the most athletic of his time. He has key legendary plays on defense that eclipse everyone's entire career that has spoke on it

you cant subjectively just say one on one defense when it wasnt his entire job to just defend (like pippen)

its just an overall bad take (like most takes) when you try to twist some shyt to be a small condition to prove a point
kobe is the best example, he didnt get credit or do half as much as MJ ... but I aint seen him lose 1on1 where defense and offense matter to win against the person directly in front of you.

40 year old Jordan turned the worst team in the league around defensively at that time.

The Wizards had the second-worst defense season before Jordan’s arrival, but they improved and were the 6th team in the league by points allowed before Jordan got injured.

So you mean to tell me Jordan in the 80s and
90s wasn’t great when he was still a dog past his prime? Stop it Sheed
