Look at these charts:
Black-Individual-Income-Truman-to-Trump-1.png

Black-Household-Income-1967-to-2018-.png

black-high-school-attainment-nearly-on-par-with-national-average-figure-04.jpg

Then this chart:
b8n5vV.md.png

^This shows that the homicide rates for sub-25 y.o. black men were actually HIGHER in the 2000s (where this data stops) than they were in all of the 70s and through most of the 80s. That is significant because the charts prior show that black people got more educated and wealthier over that same time period. That just shouldn't be.

It points to something else going on because economic situations and access to education are usually drivers of violence & crime.

Also, just look at the disparity in these numbers brehs.

Four chan memes.

Having this discussion on a rap forum is like asking a bunch of homos is homosexuality contributing to the desecration of society and tainting the sanctity of marriage/parenting/etc... Half of them will know it is but just won’t admit it because they’re f’n fagits…so they feel like they have to defend their shyt. The other half are just so delusional that they genuinely think there’s no problem, lol. It’s a losing battle champ..

Same equivalence because if you removed homosexuals altogether, you're still left with society that is desecrated and the sanctity of marriage is tainted as is parenting because people who aren't homosexuals are the ones who tainted it in the first place. How many times do we have people who swear that human beings aren't monogamous by nature therefore marriage is pointless? Women were and in a lot of cases, still are treated less than human. Single parent households are rampant for factors that have nothing to do with homosexuality.

So to what do you attribute the disparity? The numbers are black and white...
Thats not how data works sir, with all due respect. Data doesnt work in just black and white.
GUNS. lmao. GUNS ARE THE PROBLEM. Not being BLACK. OR BLACK MUSIC. They move us into small communities and flood it with guns.
We dont use the white police and judge. We hold court with the guns!

Everyone has access to guns, though...But not everyone has the same murder rate.

The premise of this discussion isn't to blame Black people or Black music for the murder rate, btw.

The point is to point out that there is anti-Black propaganda that we should be on the same page about. It's not controversial to say that content is not good.

Again this is why data is not black and white.
We do not kill or die from guns at a higher rate than another other people in the world. That is propaganda.
The anit black propaganda is you posting gun stats in rap forums, thinking that black has a problem.
Guns are a global problem. The cartel has wars for guns. The taliban. The ukranian nazis. The african rebels. Global gun problems. Every man argues. Every man fights. Not just black ones.
The anit black propaganda is you posting ****** memes that prove black people are bad.
Blacks come in contact with each other 20x more than any other culture in america. Blacks live closer to each other. Blacks have more access to guns and less access to socio economic benefits of being american.
Blacks trust guns more than the curropt police and judges.
None of that amounts to blacks having a problem. It just amoutns to blacks using guns, here. Where their crime stats only follow the use of blacks with guns.
White people still kill more people with guns. Period. The per 100,000... racist. Not counting military and police kills. Racist. IT is all meant to be anit black propaganda and you come HERE to push it? crazy to me

I hear you saying the premise isnt to blame blacks. But that is what the propaganda is for.

That data doesn't reflect this though. Look atvthe trend in that chart. The homicide rates decreased as the popularity of the music grew.

And we all know, the content is a scapegoat. People were out here calling C. Delores Tucker everything but a child of God when she denounced Hip Hop in the 90's. Now because it's not our favorite rappers who are creating violent content, suddenly people want to act holier than thou and say she was right. No, we didn't arrive at this point over night. So if we are pointing the finger at the content, how much did we support it before we decided it was toxic?

Is it possible that the content was toxic while we were still supporting it?

Yes, but my point is how hypocritical is it to overlook that and act like this only recently became a problem.

Understood, this is definitely not a new problem by any means. anti-Blackness in rap has been a mainstay for about 30 years at this point.

For a lot of us we got older and more mature and realize the error in our ways. Now that many of us have lived it we look back and realize the negative influence the music actually did have. When we were younger we thought all that shyt was cool. I was in a small town where I saw a lot of youths gravitate towards gang culture cause it was hyped up in the music. Some grew out of it and realized it was corny but a lot fukked their lives up over it.

It's not hypocritical to live and learn from our mistakes. It's called gaining insight and changing your views as you get new information.

I get that. What I'm saying is when people take the stance of "this generation of Hip Hop is demonic and needs to be banned" without realizing that if they went that route the same Hip Hop we grew up on in the 90's would take a hit too. They were rapping about the same things.
