Unpopular opinion, I love ATCQ and Tip, but I always thought Tip and the song drink away the pain sound somewhat out of place on the infamous.

Still love the song tho.

Just a Jewish ripoff of Run DMC.

People always bring up their name like they built Hip Hop or something, when they were literally the first culture vultures.:mjlol:

They were a Punk band that basically flopped, then they saw Hip Hop and how it was building a new lane, and immediately jumped on it and ran with it. :scusthov:

Dipset in general. I feel like Dipset got love because they were from Harlem and came with that swag. This may not make sense, But they always reminded me of the bay areas version of NY rappers, where their whole flow and swag is so funny and off-kilter that ppl love it(and I love Bay Area rap). Had they been a non-NY act, they’d be remembered more goofily. Jones, Cam, Juelz, Max B, they had this “silliness” to them relative to the rest of NY. Maybe they’re “too” authentically NY. The New York transplant kids loved dipset more than we did.

Agree with everything except the Max B part. He created his own wave from top to bottom. Max B never got an industry push either, it was all underground.

All Dipset did was be posers and steal some off-brand California shyt. They introduced the fake Blood shyt to Cash Money too. The South were Dipset groupies for some reason.

Max B recorded a whole album/tape in California off his underground strength. He recorded Domain Diego in San Diego, SoCal for indie label Siccness out of Sacramento, NorCal.

I'm the exact opposite. I couldn't stand the entire crew but since have grown to like all of them (except Earl and I don't get how anyone likes his stuff). I'm not a superfan of Frank's but I like his stuff more than The Internet who legit got like 6 songs I really rock with. On the flip, I love Matt Martians music more than anyone from the group.
I had zero interest in Matt Martian's music, but I'll give him a spin:ehh:
