One of yall sound proud of the ignorant violence in cali, the other is literally wishing for some random LA rapper be murdered in retaliation.

The only rappers to debut to have blown to star status since Tekashi are DaBaby, Roddy, and Meg Thee Stallion. And Meg is more of a personality because in terms of music she hasn't even reached the success of the NY kids I'm about to link you to.

But bro you missing my point it's levels. Not every NYC rapper is a superstar. But nikkas have a name. They have records. There's an energy in the city that is missing in LA. I'm not from LA so I only ask that y'all put me on. But y'all showing me nikkas that have like 2M views on they shyt. :dahell:

Last year this nerdy kid from Queens dropped this record which has 220M views on YouTube. His debut mixtape sold 68,000 copies first week...

Last year this kid from the Bronx was featured on one of the biggest records of the year which is sitting at 176M views on YouTube. He was featured on some of Pop Smoke's biggest records like War. His debut album came out a few months ago and has sold past Gold and he has a handful of Gold and Platinum plaques in his discography...

These kids are 17 and 18 years old, breh. They're not doing "regional" numbers among the youth nationwide they're some of the biggest rappers.

I think we missing each others point, or we just disagree lol. It's all good though!

I don't know enough to speculate, neither does TMZ really, but after you shoot someone at 4:00 AM in the Hollywood Hills, with witnesses, there isn't much time to get what you came for. If they had stayed, what were they going to do with the witnesses? Execute them all?

You're right, unless you did exactly what you came for...

Are they really getting more money now? Is that why rappers are stealing rolls and having momma put up bail money ? Or like juice wrld flying in jets with distribution level of drugs?

they not getting more money rappers just frontin harder.
I highly doubt it. Back in the day you had way more tours either big, small, US or overseas. No 360 deals. Physical cd/cassette sales. More record labels whether major or indy. No social media so you really didn't have to showboat and stunt 24/7/365. Hell even buying a house or condo was cheaper back in the days. I literally wonder how some of these dudes, mostly B and C level artists, is getting music money these days?
