But Pop just turned 20, he was 19 when he gaining a following with all this. You can't expect a teenager to know how to move as a grown man, if the grown man around him aren't looking out. The only reason why Tekashi was given that much security bc everyone knew he was food - some alt looking rainbow haired homo running saying gang gang every 2 secs when he wasn't about that life from the start. Dude rolled up in Chicago at 2am, to front, knowing damn well he had military personnel behind him if anything went left.
yeah it's a situation that happens

artist experiencing fresh success gets caught

now the fortunate pull through the ordeal & hopefully adjust their planning

pop clock ran out on the first issue sad to say

To be fair, alot of people outside of new York were just discovering dude. Also the coli hates everything popular.
No disrespect to you but fuk that. A lot of people outside of New York were going in on dude or talking about him like a fad. Posters were saying that he would never be popular, that he was only a "local act". There is no fairness, there's facts. Those are facts, the evidence is right there. Now they are over there having an 89 page discussion when everyone was spitting venom at him, I remember names and none of those same names were talking nice or cared.

no snitching is probably why he didn't call 911

It's possible that it was more to do with the fact that they had illegal stuff in the house and were trying to clean that up (ala the Mac Miller situation). They also might have known that 911 calls are recorded and get released to the public, thus a NY person has plausible deniability on what happened:yeshrug:.

And the JuiceWrld situation has proven that yungins don't always think straight and can panic when it hits the fan.

Or it could be that they texted someone back in ny while the killers was still in the house and they could only text

Reality is completely opposite of the booth and it's been that way for years.

I'm in cali, breh just started getting play out here when he dropped with travis scott.

I know he had New York on lock last year and he was finally breaking out nationally.

I don't know enough to speculate, neither does TMZ really, but after you shoot someone at 4:00 AM in the Hollywood Hills, with witnesses, there isn't much time to get what you came for. If they had stayed, what were they going to do with the witnesses? Execute them all?

Robberies turn into homicides in mere seconds. As soon as that trigger is pulled, it's a whole new level, and one has to make split second decisions, about what to do next. If these guys had stayed even 5 more minutes, they would be in custody.

You walk in a room, and someone tries you, maybe waves something that looks like a gun, and in one second he's dead. These aren't trained killers, they are street guys, maybe they have stripes and maybe they don't.

Who are the hot new national-to-global NYC experts of the last 24 months, basically since the beginning of '18?

Takashi would be the only one I could name, and really he blew up/got hot in late '17....but even counting him, I can't name you another...
The only rappers to debut to have blown to star status since Tekashi are DaBaby, Roddy, and Meg Thee Stallion. And Meg is more of a personality because in terms of music she hasn't even reached the success of the NY kids I'm about to link you to.

But bro you missing my point it's levels. Not every NYC rapper is a superstar. But nikkas have a name. They have records. There's an energy in the city that is missing in LA. I'm not from LA so I only ask that y'all put me on. But y'all showing me nikkas that have like 2M views on they shyt. :dahell:

Last year this nerdy kid from Queens dropped this record which has 220M views on YouTube. His debut mixtape sold 68,000 copies first week...

Last year this kid from the Bronx was featured on one of the biggest records of the year which is sitting at 176M views on YouTube. He was featured on some of Pop Smoke's biggest records like War. His debut album came out a few months ago and has sold past Gold and he has a handful of Gold and Platinum plaques in his discography...

These kids are 17 and 18 years old, breh. They're not doing "regional" numbers among the youth nationwide they're some of the biggest rappers.

SMF and LAX to VA and NC
No, most of them actually do. You be suprised how many have direct ties to LA sets.

No they don't, bro...

I can tell you a grip of relationships I've had with NY, from cats from Bounty Hunter Street Gang in the X asking me if I could plug them to the Nickersons, cats from Mob Piru in the X asking if I knew Mob's from Bompton and if I knew a cat in NY who claimed to be from Bompton Mob...

Rolling with Macks and an old ass 59 cat who had no affiliation at all to LA or SD Brim car...

Not to mention the traditional NYB and U gangs which have no grassroot relationships to anybody in The City...

The vast majority of cats I met and was around, I was the only Cali Blood they'd ever personally met, or one of a handful they'd actually talked to by phone or in person...

I spent time out there so I fukk with NY cats regardless, but they not tied in with LA hoods. The few that are developed those relationships in the age of social media for the most part, but there's 100 Blood gangs in NY, very few of them relate to LA hoods...
