I am convinced more than ever hip hop is used as tool to corrupt black people like heavy metal was to corrupt white people in 70's to 90's. Not all of Hip Hop tho just the frauds.
Its true that violent music is marketed to poor young people.

Yes it does. These execs invest into that shyt so it can have more workers in the prisons aka black people without guidance. Its like killing 2 birds with one stone by having chart-topping songs about self-destruction and having fools actually believing that you gotta be about that life to be "real."
Luckily, people are waking up to this shyt and the direction of Hip Hop is slowly changing.
it's better to be independent than signed
''Just caught a body 'bout a week ago''Make sure the song has a particular line that is fun to recite but ultimately counterproductive.
The destruction of black males happened post civil rights/pre-crack era NOT during hiphop.:pharrell:
No. Black people were already on the path to self destruction before hip hop ever existed. What did record labels have to do with redlining black mortgages ? or giving black women housing and welfare while denying black men jobs ? what record label pumped crack and guns into the ghetto ?
Record labels are opportunists but they came after the seeds were already planted. You can't blame them for the aftermath of a situation they didn't create.
Nobody is waking up to anything. It's too late. It's over.
Only a small amount of people are aware of this.
Im sellin dope... Str8 off the iphone''Just caught a body 'bout a week ago''
''Pop a molly Im sweatin''
''Lifes a bytch then ya die''
FixedIn short: young artists are easily manipulated children incapable of thinking for themselves.
A relationship between 2 industries to produce a product and a byproduct through the people influenced by music, who are poor disenfranchized black kids.idk about that one
i mean maybe im wrong, but whats the payoff?
9. As their music career starts to flounder, they will get desperate. There will be voices of family and friends juxtaposed against the life they now live and a desperation to preserve their new lifestyle by any means. If music doesn’t provide sustainable income, they will turn to their former life. As a known entertainer and target of police, they won’t be able to successfully transition back into the streets. They will end up entangled in a perilous legal situation.
