Rant: Nothing pisses me off more than black business owners walking away from black customers' money

In the last 2 months I've deliberately tried to switch over to black owned businesses for a couple of things; in finance and as vendors.

I'd say 1 out of the 4 places actually cared about me giving them my business. I was sure to email, call, and tried to be pretty laid back about them not getting back to me.
When they did get back to me, they were mostly apathetic to my inquiries or moving forward with getting started; like they didn't give a shyt if I dropped several stacks or not.

The same services and vendors from cacs were getting back to me literally in hours and following up on if I had any questions or what I may need from them to stay on board. I didn't respond to them cause I was waiting, in some cases, for DAYS from their black competitors.

This shyt pisses me the fukk off. Brehs are losing money cause they can't fukking respond to an email or act interested in ANOTHER breh GIVING them money because they're black owned. Part of me gets even more annoyed because I, irrationally, believe that if I was a cac on some "I'm an ally of the community" shyt, I'd get better service. I know this thread could have been a coli thoughts post....but I can't be the only one who experiences or feels this, right?

I no longer keep quiet and suffer in silence..

I'll give a business a proper dressing down as I explain to them their foul business practices and how theyre forcing us back onto cac establishments we dont want to hand money.
They usually quick to have an excuse and blame it on something technical and I tell them it's typical to get nothing but excuses and stories in Black businesses as I walk out the door..

The common problem is that the young Black business owner himself is never around, leaving responsibility to lazy kids who couldn't give a fukk when you're away.
He just shows up late in the day to ransack the tills and accounts for whatever came in, then back out again to continue partying.

The fact that you knew that they were a "Black Owned Business" was part of the problem

Any good business worth it's salt isn't promoted on a gimmick. If the most important thing about a business is the race of it's owners, then it's not a good business to begin with

But I will always support an entity that promotes itself as a Business first that just happens to have Black owners

yeah I don’t want to sound like a racc00n but :yeshrug: There’s a pattern with these “black owned businesses” it’s like the gimmick attracts frauds that just expect black people to support them . When they probably don’t deserve it

when you have a good business , product , service you don’t need to say the race of the owner . Sadly if you got something good You’ll probably make more if you didn’t classify it as a black business/product :yeshrug::francis:

Anyone that got their haircut at a Black barbershop could tell you this. Although it’s just this new generation, I remember my dad taking me to the barbershop and everyone knew everyone’s name like some Cheers shyt. Maybe it’s still like that in some places but it feels like they just see you as a lick.

That’s the part that hurts :mjlol::francis:

You trying to support someone black just out the kindness of your heart and to them you a easy dollar

I went into this black owned bakery last Friday. I got 7 brownies for $20. I was like y’all ain’t got no tip jar? The owners tells me they’re not a charity.

I ate lobster raviolis at the Italian restaurant next door and my Mariana was warm and the bill had the gratuity included.

I get confused in these coli threads because it’s almost never reality. Someone sold you body butter through Zelle and that don’t mean shyt.

I spent time looking for these businesses and when i visited sites and saw black faces and ownership, I decided to go with them. They don't advertise as 'black owned'.

that's around when i started to get annoyed. now i'm full on pissed off because its not just incidental, it's intentional.

That’s the thing about business you don’t see these Indian or Arab business act like this.
this annoys me too. i can see them taking business away from black folks in certain areas. like...why is a korean dude doing some girl's locs? what??

they don't even ask for feedback. every cac business i've declined at least asked me "why?"...and i usually bullshyt to just get them off my back. if these black businesses asked me; i'd be perfectly honest with constructive feedback

I feel you but I can't complain about it :wow:..cacs got 500+years of experience running business...how much we got ?

Maybe start a business helping businesses do better..like a business fixer..like Gordon ramsay fixing your kitchen
Always with the cac excuse. No accountability whatsoever. Whatever is wrong in the black community is because of cacs
