Dont tease me:dame: i've been very vocal about the drumless nonsense. Good to hear we got some drums here

@TheDarceKnight spesh is officially dropping on 12/25 by the way:manny:
I swear I'll never pay for a piece of digital content again if it's not out yet. That was a really dumb move by me. :snoop:

1st and last time. I hate it had to be Spesh.

Thanks for the update.

I still haven’t peeped any of Ransom’s music. :mjcry:
:ohhh:

Man, I know life is hectic and 2020 is crazy, but you have got to check out these director's cut scenes. Just go in order. The 1st two are only like 15 minutes each.

I knew Ransom from the mixtape duo A-Team from the 2000's. I kind of thought of them as just more punchline rappers from the Tristate area. I heard Director's Cut Scene 2 before I heard Scene 1. It completely blew my head off. I had no idea Ransom's pen game had evolved to this.

Real talk, Ran probably has a top 5 pen in the world right now. I don't love Nicholas Craven's production on these projects (:hubie:) but it's not bad and it definitely doesn't get in the way.

These are must listens. Just put Scenes 1-3 and Deleted Scenes on a playlist and you might just have the best bars of 2020.

I’m not really feeling that guys beats.... shyts sound lazy as fukk

Ransom attacks every track the same I can’t really listen to dude

he’s nice tho
A lot of people like Craven and I kinda don't get it. I don't think he's wack but IMO there are just too many other producers that are better at the style he's going for.

That being said I don't need much to appreciate Ransom as an emcee. I get that he attacks the track the same way every time, but these releases are far enough apart and short enough for me not to care.

@bigdaddy88 don't get your hopes up too much breh. There's a couple joints on here with drums but for the most part the production on this is in line with the first 3 Scenes.

Ran is my guy but Craven is borderline wack to me. Not that the music is trash but this isnt what production is. Its cheap, lazy, and watered down. He literally said he bit Roc Marci's style. He just loops soul samples, mostly sped up vocals and yes, some of it does get in the way. Ran rapping over a strict vocal sample. Lazy. Borderline culture vulture shyt. This is how it goes though. Once a few people hype it up, you cant tell em it aint the greatest shyt ever like people were doing with Daringer. Difference is, Daringer does have some dope stuff despite a lot of it being dull and boring. The positive is that it was Craven projects that actually bought Ran out of retirement. Ran said his juices got flowing again after Reaper's Hood.

There is a dope dude by the name of J. Arrr who also release an EP today. He released a single with Ransom a few weeks ago which surprisingly isnt on it. :francis: He seems like he is riding that wave too with drumless production so he hit up Ran at the perfect time. Good thing is we get more Ran so cant hate on that and now he will be moving on to new projects and producers. I think him and Craven have another release coming in Dec, then he has project coming with some Spesh production. Che Noir self-produced EP drops on Dec 4th featuring a track with Spesh and Ran.

As formidable as Ran is though, he aint better than Payne right now. the problem is Payne not as well known because he wasnt doing the streaming. Now he has put most of his releases on DSP's and his production surely fits him. The Director's Cut projects I listened to once or twice for the lyrics but replay was just not there.

Check link in my siggy to see other dope new releases.
