The real question is who's career would you want to have.

Lebron became a billionaire while he was still playing. Who wouldn't want that?
Lebron is still with his high school sweetheart. Who wouldn't want that?
Lebron's son is in the NBA with another not far behind. Who wouldn't want that?
Lebron brought a title to 3 different franchises. Who wouldn't what that?
Got to play in Miami and LA. Who wouldn't want that?
Got drafted by his hometown team and brought the only title to the franchise. Who wouldn't want that?
All Time leading scorer. Who wouldn't want that?
Career 40k, 11k, 11k. Who wouldn't want that?

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Take a nap breh, get your mind right

At the end of the day, the debate about who's better is subjective. There will never be a 100% consensus. From the athletes standpoint, they can't control it. So to me it's who's "career" would I'd rather have. Lebron and it's a no brainer.

This is fair . Thought I still feel like you should get points for winning championships with the same team and not being a clique hopper getting easy cheap rings. Based on that here's the list

MJ
Magic
LeBron
Bird
Steph
KD
I can agree, but how would you quantify that? Also, what if you stayed on the same team, but a star joined forces with you (like Steph for example)?

Too much time on Reddit

A whole KD career between MJ and Bron. That sounds about right :ehh:
I realized it should be fair to add points for being the all time leader in a stat. 2 points seems fair since you’re one of one, but I don’t think it trumps being an MVP either. So add 2pts to LeBron and Steph.

KD

Not really hard either. The only debatable is Curry’s legacy is going to skyrocket and people are gonna try to push him way up.

But you have to ignore the children sometimes. They operate off momentum and their tunnel vision “eye test”. That shyt dont even fukking matter when assessing legacy. The bottom line is Steph killed his own legacy by teaming with KD. I’ve said it before that if that never happens Steph was on a top 5 trajectory. He cheated himself and these conversations is when he pays for it. ONE finals MVP. Only 2 MVPs. Impact on the game is a moot point bc the league may have ended without Magic and Bird.

KD teamed with Steph, not the other way around. Steph din't need KD, not in 2015 and not in 2022. KD has never won without Steph.

That’s a great argument for why Steph is ahead of KD. And 2 chips without KD is a great argument for Steph to be in the fringe top 10

However, neither of those things are what we’re talking about. We talking the big leagues. Top 5 territory. And ‘I won 2 rings, 2 MVPs, and 1 finals mvp :obama:‘ doesn’t even get you in the door to compare to Mike, Bron, Magic, and bird.

And imo he would have got more of all three of those things on his own if he didn’t add KD. ‘Team up’ is semantics, as we know Draymond has been Steph’s mouthpiece and Draymond begged KD

I just created this scale on the spot:

MVP=3pts
DPOY=2pts
ROY=2pts
FMVP=2pts
Championships=1pt
Statistical Leader (points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks)=1pt
All Time Leader in a stat=2pts

MJ=50
LeBron=30
Magic=25
Bird=18
Steph=17
KD=15
Love this formula, My G. Did you incorporate the 50/40/90 into your statistical breakdown?

Fair enough. I'm personally not sure Steph could've been in that territory, if only for physical limitations (all those other guys are at least solid defenders and/or rebounders, both aspects of the game in which Steph is at an disadvantage, including towards other guys not listed) and the 1-3 stain was never gonna go away. But it's a good point you make.

Nope, I just literally just made the shyt up out of thin air lol. Reason I gave the MVP more points than the others is because that's the single greatest individual accolade one can achieve. Reason I only gave rings one point is because role players and bench warmers also win rings. I gave Finals MVP 2pts because you were the best player when it counted over 7 games, but sometimes, the player who wins Finals MVP isn't the best player on the team.
