Spider-Man will probably always be my favorite. First iteration of him onscreen, Norman’s transformation and how he gets revenge on his enemies, Spider-Man actually having fist fights with the villain, great action throughout, forced to try saving both innocent children and the woman he loves all while the Green Goblin is attacking him, haven’t seen a final fight scene that brutal in a PG-13 film (shyt, didn’t see a fight scene that brutal in a PG-13 superhero flick again until TDKR), how Uncle Ben’s death was handled. I love that fukking movie
I put the ASM movies up there for a few reasons, Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone had great chemistry, there were cool action sequences, and certain scenes in ASM2 are just classic
Spider-Man Homecoming was a third reintroduction to the character and the best thing it has going for it were the comedic bits. As opposed to Far from Home where we get a villain who is actually threatening, a good balance of comedy and action, and just a great sense of adventure.
Wasn’t really feeling the animated Spider-verse. I thought a lot of it was cheesy, but I did appreciate Kingpin’s motivations and watching Miles Morales grow to be Peter’s successor.
Spider-Man 2 is overrated to me. Was it a good movie? Yes. But I enjoyed the action sequences in the first one more than the second (even the train scene didn’t impress me that much). The best bits of the movie were shown in the trailer. However it had redeeming qualities.
Spider-Man 3 pissed me off. They handled Uncle Ben’s death perfectly in the first movie, only to retcon it and make Sandman involved just so he wouldn’t be overshadowed by Venom being shoehorned in. The only good scene in that movie is the birth of the Sandman.
